You should invest in a smart power strip. It's a special power strip that let you plug in one device as the "master" device. When that device is turned off, it kills the power to all the other devices plugged into the strip. That way all you need to do is shut the PC off and everything else will shut down when you do. No need to manually kill power to the strip.

I don't like buttons on these cabinets. The joysticks are bad enough -- cheap knock-offs -- but the buttons are probably worse.
The Japanese parts -- Sanwa, Seimitsu, or Hori -- are MUCH more sensitive than these but the problem is the MDF board is TOO thick to mount the parts with proper clearance and security and not sized to accept anything but screw-on buttons. You'd have to change the faceplate to a metal replacement install Japanese parts easier. By the time you get done modding this stuff, it's more expensive than buying it stock!
I'm not a fan of Happ-iL parts, either. They used those in American cabinets through the late 1990s when arcades were still a thing in North America and I've never liked the response of those sticks. They're not the most sensitive and responsive of controls.

I ended up having to get a whole new MAME version, new rom set to match and then give up on the more flashy Hyperspin and use Maximus Arcade. Its very similar. I almost went that route but I was told the RaspberryPi cannot emulate Killer Instinct well. They aren't powerful enough. If you really want to play Killer Instinct or more demanding games, you should use a PC. It doesn't have to be very high end, I'm using an old AMD 4200+ dual core processor.

Kinda an expensive way to make a mame cab. If your cool with an lcd screen you can just keep your eyes open for an old arcade cabinet that may be missing some or all of the electronics (they come up on cl and fb marketplace as cheap as 20$). Then buy an old 4:3 lcd computer monitor and all your other electronics and you will have a similar setup with a much sturdier cab for around 200-300$ total depending on the deals you find. Only difference is the cab you find may or may not have cool artwork on it so you may have to do that yourself or just paint it a solid color. I built my own cab so it could be small and light and ended up in the hole about 300$ total including vinyl. It was really easy to do but it does require some basic tools and carpentry skills (drill, jigsaw, measuring square/tape.

Yeah I've seen a couple of those coin mech stickers and they do look pretty good if you're far enough away from it, personally with growing up in arcades and knowing how much of a beating those front panels took from people accidently kicking it, etc. I'd end up replacing that front panel with a thicker piece of wood anyways so it'd end up being able to hold an actual coin mech.
