Welcome back to Athlete Central! In today's video, we bring you fan-favorite Nathan Donald Diaz aka The Stockton Slugger.
Like most top athletes, Nate didn’t come from a rich family, spending his childhood in a small one-story house with his mother, his sister, and his brother Nick, who’s actually been considering a comeback lately, following 6 years away from the sport.
Nate had won The Ultimate Fighter Season 5 and had won the hearts of many fans with his no-nonsense attitude. Him and his brother are known as the "bad boys" in the UFC. They keep it real with the G-life attitude which fans love!
Nate really blew up after calling out Conor McGregor with a profanity laced call out. It was pretty epic. He later went on to beat Conor in their first match but last the rematch. We would love to see a trilogy between those 2 fighters.
Although Nate doesn't have the best record in the UFC he is still one of the most respected and loved fighters and will go down in history as so.

I've always liked Nate and his brother, they're good fighters and down to earth people and someone commented that they will fight anyone , my favorite back in the day was Chuck Liddell, he'd fight anyone and had devastating power with devastating combo's, of course all fighter's careers come to an end.

I personally and honestly thought something was off with Nate Vs Leon ? He didn't look hungry to kill ? Not like Nate ?

You better pace yourself make your energy count. He's going the distance stamina and durability. I've always made this a first rule before hand. If you want to be a fighter you be able to take some abuse. If not ! No need going any further. Nate is bulldog tuff if you Peter out. He's going to kick your ass. Plain and simple.He's got heart.all factors matter. This attribute may be your best Allie !

Being from Fresno, I love the Diaz brothers. They represent Stockton and the whole San Joaquin valley. They aren’t fake like a lot of others. Like them or hate them, they stay true to who they are.
Win or lose Nate is the peoples champion. The highlight of his career for me was watching Mcnugget tapping out to a Nate Diaz choke hold :)

5) CESAR GRACIE black belt.
6) Nate held the record for Most strikes landed by a UFC fighter.
7) Fight of the Night.... 8 times.
8) Submission of the Night.... 5 times.
9) He has saved many UFC cards, by stepping up on short notice... like he did at 196, which also SAVED conors payday.
10) Nate was recognized and awarded by the state of Cali. for helping and teaching underprivileged kids.
11) He got to put the Stockton Slap across Dana Whites FAT HEAD...lol

Nate Diaz and brother are by far a couple of my favorite fighters of all time, especially Nate, I will pay big bucks when I hear he is fighting top ranked people especially Conner McGregor whom I would take out a loan to watch. I hate the day when Nate finally retires to me an icon of the fight game. Both Nate and Conner are in my top 10 fighters of all time. The sport won’t be the same without them. I may even quit watching after these guys retire.

I'm from the 209 so he is, without question, my #1. I've got nothing but respect for him and his brother. Growing up in the 209, you have to fight to live. If you grow up in the 209 hood, it forges monsters who learn to become normal people. Everyone knows how to fight because it's how you survive.
