      BINGO!!! 🎯🎯🎯
This is, disgracefully enough, a part of their training.
Police have a saying where interacting with the public is concerned "**Don't** ask them--you **tell** them..", and this mentality is still taught to academy inductees to this day..

I love how the man was asking why he was being detained/arrested and the cop, while putting him in handcuffs stated, they're gonna get their story together first...
First off, don't put people in handcuffs and "detain/arrest" them if you don't know what they have allegedly done.

I used to work for a Police Department. You are right to not to trust the police I am sorry to say. I saw innocent people arrested, charged, or lies written in reports on them. And the arresting PO's knew the person"s were innocent or had nothing to do with the incidents
Seen it backfire a few times. One time come to find out the person who should have been arrested wasn't because the Police Officer thought this person (white man) had power behind him (he did). But the person he assaulted (a black woman) had power on her own. She had a high position in city government. She insisted this person be arrested. I never saw so many muckety mucks come from City Hall. And the person who should have been arrested at the very beginning for assault was arrested. I've found the police bully, lie, arrest, etc people they think are powerless. But this is why when stuff happens people have to report it and follow through.

I’m an old white retired cop. One thing I noticed was a frightened young officer pacing around afraid to holster his taser because this CRIME VICTIM intimidated him. Take a pill or find another job. It wasn’t exactly John Dillinger or Al Capone that y’all had surrounded. The reoccurring problem is a lack of concern by SOME cops regarding the image they leave behind. It’s glaringly evident that many simply do not care. Now, I want to support qualified immunity but I hate the abuses that are occurring. IDK, it’s hard for me to say it but perhaps it is time we take a harder look at QM. Some officers feel they are entitled to use and abuse it whiles others understand it is a privilege.
