- Taking a closer look at my new LEGO Pursuit of Flight model, which was crowdfunded through the Bricklink Designer Program. Thanks to all those that pre-ordered this project to make it a success!
For those that missed out, another 5000 units will be available to pre-order beginning on August 3rd.

I have just pre-ordered this set! I'm sure it will be quickly crowd-funded :)
UPDATE: It got crowd-funded! Well done! Sadly, I don’t think the particle accelerator will be funded, the Kakapo is too far ahead. I feel bad for Bionicle fans, too…
Got my copy of both the particle accelerator and Pursuit of Flight. 👍👍
Epic mechanism. They are my favorite parts of ALL of your builds!
Already pre-ordered. Keep up the great work JK!
Pre-ordered!!!
You are truly amazing, and so is your construction. I wish I had as many bricks as you someday!
Looks like this could be the 4th set to be funded. It's ahead of the others and three have already gotten 3,000 orders. Only the first five designs to receive 3,000 votes are put into production, so don't wait to pre-order one!
LEGO: "No Sopwith Camel in this set."
Also LEGO: *Set 10226*
I got me one and I'm looking forward to it! Really great design as all of your kinetic sculptures and I'm happy to be owning it.
Good luck on this getting made!
Congratulations!!! Very glad I got a copy of this!
Such a nice build!
I preordered this model JK! Looking forward to getting it.
Gonna mod it for an Xwing and TIE fighter trench run.
Congrats on this new official set from you. Great stuff!
Preordered right when it came out. Can't wait for it to arrive!
the world should see this. amazing work
So ingenious ! I love it !
Awesome!
Pre-Order has been placed!
Wow im here early love the build btw!
I've just preordered. (and the particle accelerator) can't wait.
Thank you so much for sharing you’re awesome bills with us
Definitely my favorite of the first round of projects. Just waiting for activity on the website to die down 😂
The idea of using perspective as the base is amazing
This is amazing. I want one.
Thanks to all those that pre-ordered this set! It has met the crowdfunding goals and will be produced. For those that missed out, another 5000 units will be available to pre-order beginning on August 3rd.

You could easily swap in a tie fighter and x wing too (microfighter or polybag size ones)
I was only going to be able to get one of the ideas in the lineup, and initially, that one was going to be Bionicle, but when I saw just how slowly it was ticking along, I knew I had to get the Pursuit of Flight while I still could. I supported it on LEGO Ideas, and now I'm gonna finally get it. Pretty excited to see that it is fully funded. And I can't wait to see what mods I can do, maybe even make my own version and throw on some Star Wars Microfighters.
i orderd one set. :-) greetings from the Netherlands. Love your work.
What was their issue with the transparent supports?
Most likely, they aren't that rare but it is much easier to disperse grey axols than transparent rods.
@@A_penguin_from_matmart4928 I think their concern was more to do with the structural integrity of the transparent “supports”, because they’re not meant to be used like this.
Transparent Lego is made from polycarbonate and not ABS. It is more brittle and prone is tiny fractures from stress. It would also appear that Technic Lego uses a different formula of ABS to Lego System bricks and is generally stronger.
That does make more sense.

Design BREAKDOWN BREAKDOWN
Wow I will have to get it, I do like the original version better though :D
No problem, as he said you can easily convert it😉👍
Just pre-ordered. Chocks away and tally ho!
Unfortunately already sold out in my region (Australia) any chance of the allocations being updated?
I would have likely bought it with the Fokker and Camel.
The Core stuff is still present which makes this set interesting but to be honest I'm not a fan of having to buy seperate pieces in order to rebrick a model. That's why I'd want to a BDP set and not just pick all the necessary stones on Bricklink by hand in the first place.
Preordered :) Would someone tell me the design number of the transparent bars, please?
Found it. Element-No. 6276993 - Design-No. 49546. (Or 99784 on bricklink / 325673 on brickowl)
I am disappointed that the Folker triplane and Sopwith Camel are not included in the final plans.
Darn it! It’s sold out in my area :(
I don't understand why there are no links in the description. Makes it more difficult for me to go where I need to to support your project!
Lego see that !
I imagine putting my microfighter millenium falcon there.
so this is just harder to get IDEAS dets?
hi
Really love this set. Too bad the whole brick design program is confusing as hell can we just get the instructions from you
You can, at least for the old version - which does have a Sopwith Camel in it, so that's a plus ;) rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-35702/JKBrickworks/pursuit-of-flight/#parts
Ah man I missed both rounds of crowdfunding. Any ideas for how I can get this set still?
No official way as far as I know. You might just have to wait for the secondary market.
@@JKBrickworks aaah shucks. Oh well, I appreciate the response. Is there perhaps a way I could get a list of the parts and source them myself? I'm rather new to the LEGO community but I AM a WWI aviation enthusiast and would love to build the original model with the Red Baron's tri-plane
@@pandapalace11 Parts list and building instructions for the original are freely available on my website: jkbrickworks.com/pursuit-of-flight-instructions If you follow the link to rebrickable, there are some useful links for sourcing the parts.
@@JKBrickworks Thank you

Not even a day and there sold out! :(
What is bricklink
Bricklink is a Lego community/marketplace, mainly aimed at Adult Fans Of Lego (AFOL's). The Lego Group purchased it a few years ago.
Here's the link for Jason's Pursuit of Flight design on there: www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/designer-sets-for-adult-fans-of-lego/215724/Pursuit-of-Flight
The pre-ordering pieces is done on Lego's official store-site, which is pretty cool in my opinion.
