Just to be clear I haven't worked on a cummins before, friend replaced the whole fuel system, do I need to back the nut all the way off that holds the fuel line or just losen it a lil bit
Open all that you can, and they basically just need to be loose, not unscrewed all the way. You can also try closing half and opening half, just to cut down the time it takes to get the air out. That seems to work reasonably well instead of bumping the key a million times.
@@uzifouryoutwosay so I have fuel coming out in a constant stream out of 3 lines and dripping out of the other 3, it's not shooting out like I've seen in other videos, do u think this injection pump might be bad? This guy replaced it then never got his truck to run again
thanks for the vid first time owning a 5.9 always wanted one and just needed the general idea of what i’m doing thanks for pointing me in the right direction 👌
when bleeding the injectors, all you have to do it crank it, crack the injectors & the air will just escape? One injector at a time or can i do all? can i crack it while running?
This was off the cuff. I’ve already got an in depth video with only marginally better cinematics that depicts the whole process of changing injectors. This part is kinda involved and you’d need about 3 cameras to properly capture everything. Weirdly enough, it’s a pretty damned simple process to actually do. So, I decided to keep the footage despite it’s dearth of production value. In another 100k miles, I’ll make a better video of it when I change the injectors for a 3rd time.
You’re a real piece of work. Thanks for nothin.
What? You need me to tell you to crack a fuel line, bump the key and crank it for 30 seconds till fuel comes out? Get wrecked nerd.

Also do I just do one line at a time or as many as I can get?

You’re welcome! Thanks for not being a smooth brain and getting the general point. Some people overcomplicate this whole process and it’s unnecessary.
What size wrench you use

So you leave them all cracked open and bump the starter/crank it. As fuel comes out of the lines, tighten those lines until all are tight.
@@uzifouryoutwosay by all do you mean all 6? Few others mention you can crack open the 3 easiest to reach
Yes all six, otherwise you have to work the air out of the rear cylinders which is unnecessary
This video was almost completely useless.
Just like this comment. Crack your lines, bump the key, maybe crank it a bit, and tighten when you see fuel. Good luck genius.
Thanks for the video, unfortunately all we got to see is mostly your valve cover. Next time think the video through and then get you a mini tripod
