As a person with asthma I get no representation, and I'm super handicapable! From now on I want all superheroes to huff and puff not being able to breath while fighting bad guys and it being mentioned in the story constantly. 8% of people has this so 8% of superheroes should be asthmatic and really out of breath at all time.

Never buy games day 1. After release if you see the game is woke, never buy it at all. If not, all complaints become irrelevant and you are part of the problem by supporting it.

I'm gay myself and I don't care what a character's race/sex/gender is as long as the character is interesting and the game is fun.
Companies try to include such content in movies and perhaps now games, but will still tread carefully. Two intimate women together as content, in what is still largely a male passtime, is unsurprisingly far more common than two men together.
I would love a website that screens games for ESG content, so that I can more easily avoid supporting these people.

One thing vastly missing in their calculations is that tons of game genres have nothing to do with sexuality in any way. Puzzle games are not going to have a gender or preference for instance. Tons of kids games simply aren't going to address orientation or sex as concepts. What about games where you play anthropomorphized animals? Or games where sex or orientation in general just isn't a part of the story, hetero or otherwise. Trying to run raw percentages on sexual orientation in games is an idiotic thing to do.

I'm already seeing so much alphabet crap in gaming now that its annoying especially when I have zero interest in it. This is why I tend to just play older games now that never had any of this nonsense in it. The other issue is that games like Baldur's Gate 3 having so much alphabet crap in it, mods that remove it for those who don't care for it get removed and banned from places like nexus saying its harmful or some BS.
How is this harmful to someone who just wants to play the game without it yet I can say 100% for sure if a game didn't have any kind of gay stuff present and someone would make a mod to add it in this would be 100% ok. Sick of the double standards as well.

Imagine if they made a game with all the genders that are made up, a player would spend months just on the creation of the character. If another gender came out, they would complain that that gender was not included. Its like a Lara Croft game out and people complaining that they could not play a male character, because Lara Croft is not male. I played TF2 several years ago and a player on our team was complaining that there was enough LGBT representation in the game for hours while not supporting or helping the team. He just whined while not trying to win the game or support the team. He just ranted and he was medic that healed nobody. We just left the server and went to a private server so we could actually play and relax.

GLAAD is cooking the books. The rarest thing in modern games are heterosexual women protagonists. They either LGBTQ (most of the time) or they have no sexuality mentioned. Male characters are quickly following suit. GLAAD is likely using all games to make this under-representation claim. They are likely including mobile games, arcade games, action focused games and games like candy crush and word games to prove their hogwash numbers. Also, Steam doesn't even put the LGBTQ tag on a lot of games that have an LGBTQ characters. Their article exposes that GLAAD is interested in ONE thing: POWER.

Actually spoke to a few people in a server where the cause is there, but not the radicalization, and even they agree with this sentiment. They want actual diversity in all regards, where it makes sense. Like, differing views and such. But having it forced in, is just fucking stupid. Let storytellers tell the stories they want to tell. If it includes woke stuff, then, so be it. If it doesn't, so be it. As long as the story and gameplay are good, that's what shall speak.

The other day on Steam, a guy was commenting on how TR remasters are great but there is no LGBTQ content. I'm gay, but when I see comments like this, I wish I'm not. The same goes for the whole gay community lately; I don't even hang out around gay people much anymore. They just talk about woke stuff lately, and if it's not gay stuff, it's vaccines and masks. If it's not that, then it's pronouns or fluid sexual orientation. I mean, I'm gay, but that's only 10% of me. First, I'm a person. But lately, gay people have turned their world to revolve just around their sexuality, which is ridiculous. I don't see straight people going around and talking about how they are straight.

True. Final Fantasy V had a trans main character, Faris, and that game was released in 1992. They were already represented with main characters 32 years ago and are still complaining.

My overall issue is that games now in day simply are there for the ESG or whatever score vs telling a story. If the story takes place say in the DCU or MCU than they turn beloved characters with their own history into being sexual deviant instead of the character we love and grew up with. Iceman is gay, Tim, Dick, and Catwoman all bi. What happened to creating new characters or a stand in character for you to play as that can hit every checkmark on the piece of paper instead of ruining the characters we love with shitty games and even shittier stories.
So they think that 83% of gamers should be force feed the content for 17% of gamers. These people are full of crap. Vote with your money. Pay attention to what is being put out and if anything is in the game that you don’t care for don’t purchase it. Stop preordering games. Check first after it has come out and protect yourself for any unwanted propaganda. Let them make 17% of the money until they learn not to force things where they don’t need to be.

I think it is safe economically to ignore any recommendation of GLAD, and dangerous to accept one. People can be or pretend to be whatever they want to be, and devs hire and promote who they want to hire, but that doesn’t mean game developers should promote social divisions that are unhealthy, and players should probably not buy or support games that do. Social civil war is getting old and masks the true enemies and threats to society. Prescriptive DEI needs to go away. Let’s just make and enjoy great games that are fun for everyone. Treat your audience like humans and not radical social justice warriors and your game will be more universal and naturally sell better. If GLAD wants to make their own games, great, but don’t try to tell us what fun is.

I've been gay for as long as I can remember. Never really thought nor cared about the "lack" of lgbt+ representation in videogames. I'm already tired of it, whenever I hear it my brain just turns off. We want good games, good stories, good characters. Not political messages being transmitted through videogames 24/7.
Also their methodology is fundamentally flawed.
They took the entire library of the system (which includes quickie indie projects) and looked for associated tags. Most games aren't actually epic story-driven affairs, they're /games/, and those that are story-driven and have some gay characters probably aren't going to tag themselves LGBT+ if it's not a significant enough aspect of their story.
Hard to tell if GLAAD just doesn't understand how games work as a medium or intentionally used bad methodology to skew results. Not exactly great either way.

Don't let them play you. The tomb raider remastered collection is made by Aspyr, not CD. They(CD) put that disclaimer in to sabotage the games release. You should support it if you want tomb raider to have a chance at returning to form. CD wants to make Lara Croft lame and gay, don't let hem have their way. If the remastered is successful Embracer may force CD to make Tomb raider closer to its original roots.
