      A tauparapara is normally for men the women open the doorways to the heavens with a karanga. However for polytech and university studies I guess women will be able to analyise the information.

      so if your Rongomaiwahine iwi , as I understand , like Paikea, like dame Whina Cooper , like Te Puea, wahine roles are changing due to modernisation, where culturally I prefer my place at my marae sitting behind my chief at Kahuranaki Marae singing waiata. How come wahine want to change roles, like u said the karanga is so important. Nga mihinui

      Tena koe e ko. In terms of the late Te Arikinui a Te Atairangi Kaahu was a leader of great respect from her people because of her humbleness, she showed women that you don't have to be a leader to be great, by being humble you too can be greater.
