    Dude. I’ve been using my machine for a year and never saw this PERFECT centering technique for floating!!! Thank you!!!

    I always float everything, it’s so much easier than trying to hoop, especially with larger, bulky items.

    Very good tutorial. You did an excellent job of explaining everything and I could hear you very clearly.

    Thank you SO much for this video! Hooping straight has always been the most difficult thing for me. I can see from your tutorial that I've been making it way more complicated than it needs to be. I didn't get grid templates with my hoops and had no idea how to hoop straight. Using the machine this way is genius! Thank you again!

    Thanks for the tutorial! Wanted to point out that you need a "topper" water soluble when embroidering on sweatshirts, minky, etc.

      BH Sanchez is this so the stitches don’t like..sink into the fabric? I’m trying to research embroidery before investing in it

    This is great except for the titanium needle part. My shop does not recommend them. They are hard and if the needle was to break, a titanium needle can cause damage to the machine.

    I didn’t know about using a titanium needle! I usually check my needle frequently and wipe with alcohol.

    Is there a way to do this same technique but on the arm of the sweatshirt? Close to the wrist area?

    • @schisandra
      @schisandra Před 3 lety

      You’d have to undo the sleeve seam to get the wrist area flat

      I prefer Sulky 2000. It's much easier to control the spray amount and it doesn't gum up your machine like some can.

    Beginner question: Why float? Why not just use the ring and secure the fabric into the ring? Maybe it is a dumb question with a simple answer?

    • @ThomasSewingCenter
      @ThomasSewingCenter  Před 5 lety

      Adam Steeves sometimes it’s easier to deal with while floating. Oddly shaped things, small things, but most importantly you don’t have hoop burn this way. If your fabric can be hooped traditionally, it’s a great option, but somethings this works best.

    Secured the hoop on the machine then do the adhesive is the most stupid method of all. You are fooling everyone who trusted you.
