    I bought a used embroidery machine and I cleaned the hoop with Dawn PowerWash and an SOS pad. Came perfectly clean.

    Nice job. If you don’t like to use spray, you can pin the perimeter of the fabric to the stabilizer. No mess, no glue to be inhaled.

    Hi, I just came across your channel...Have a couple of questions...first thank you for being careful as how you explain....very detailed....How do you cut the minky? Scissors....a rotary cutter? Just checking as you were so sure that the minky material was so much a square....it seemed like it was cut perfectly....thank you for showing me this....

    • @KaylaKrische
      @KaylaKrische  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Lynette! I usually use a rotary cutter but it doesn't really matter. I make my measurements on the back with a pen and then cut so that's how I know the corners are perfectly square :)

    • @KaylaKrische
      @KaylaKrische  Před 3 lety +1

      I don't have a video on this but I can do one soon! I get most of my fonts from Etsy. Just make sure to read the description to make sure the fonts are compatible with your machine. If you aren't sure, I would consult your machine manual, or you can contact the seller of the font you're wanting and they should be able to help you too. :)

    Thank you! When I click on the water soluble Amazon link it just takes me to Amazon's home screen. Could you tell me what kind it is, please. I currently use sulky solvy, but it's so thin and difficult to keep positioned. Yours looks much more dense and stayed put.

    • @KaylaKrische
      @KaylaKrische  Před 3 lety

      Sorry about that! I just updated the link. I use Sulky Solvy too. I've seen people use scotch tape to keep theirs in place. You can try this also. It doesn't tear away as easily as Sulky does, but it's thicker. amzn.to/3fsq2KJ

  • @annaaguilera2
    @annaaguilera2 Před 3 lety

    Why do you do a water soluble on top, is that rally necessary or will the tear away work alone?

    • @KaylaKrische
      @KaylaKrische  Před 3 lety +4

      On minky dot I would say it's not absolutely necessary, but in other minkys it is. It just helps your text stitch out smoother so the long hairs don't lift up through your stitches.

  • @lynettethebrunette8969

    Another question....although I do not have a brother, I have a babylock aventura....looks almost identical....I noticed you got the name from your usb....which means you downloaded fonts....when I downloaded fonts they are all crooked and I have to take an hour to place them correctly....I noticed the name when you pulled it up, it had a line underneath it....How did you get the name so straight? When I purchased some fonts from online as I wanted something different than my built in fonts, I had to adjust each letter and it never cameout straight....Can you please do a video of downloading fonts, and how to make them straight in the machine? That is so scary for me....I guess you can tell I am new to this, but your videos are so helpful....I appreciate any feedback on how to get fonts straight. Like I said though, my built in fonts are straight as they allow me to do that. What am I missing here? Lynette

    • @KaylaKrische
      @KaylaKrische  Před 2 lety

      I use Embrilliance to put the name together and then download it to the usb so it's perfectly straight every time. Are you using an embroidery software?

  • @lynettethebrunette8969

    Sorry just one more ? HOw did you get your water soluble to stay....most peeps I see use safety pins....Is it okay to use the spray on top for water soluble?

    • @KaylaKrische

  • @VRUAN

    When you spray glue to the fabric, eventually the glue will stick to the needle causing the thread to break. How do you deal this issue?

    • @KaylaKrische
      @KaylaKrische  Před 2 lety

      Hi! I use basting adhesive which is designed for this and doesn't gum up the needle. I haven't had a large issue with thread breaks. I've broken threads of course, but I can't say with certainty that it's because of the spray.

    • @VRUAN
      @VRUAN Před 2 lety

      @@KaylaKrische Thank you so much for a solution...can you please recommend a brand name of basting adhesive as I used 3M general purpose spray it gums up like craze and breaks threads every two minutes.
