- Bei Stuttgart 21, wie auch auf anderen Baustellen, beeindrucken die großen Bagger (wie z.B., der Liebherr R960 Demolition) immer am meisten. Doch sie sind nicht alleine: Während der Liebherr R960 mit seinem Kampfgewicht die Nase vorne hat, wenn es darum geht die Reste des S-Bahn-Deckels zu zetrümmern, hat er aber inzwischen für die Feinarbeiten schon drei kleinere Helfer zur Seite gestellt bekommen. Ein ähnliches Bild bietet sich im Bauabschnitt 25: Der Liebherr R946 Long Reach kann zwar mit seinem Ausleger bis zum Boden der Grube greifen, für den Aushub unter dem Podest auf dem er steht benötigt er aber die Hilfe einer Laderaupe und eines CAT 314D Kurzheckbaggers!

z S21) ist ein in Bau befindliches Verkehrs- und Städtebauprojekt zur Neuordnung des Eisenbahnknotens Stuttgart.
Kernstück ist der Umbau des Kopfbahnhofes Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof in einen Durchgangsbahnhof. Die Zulaufstrecken werden in Tunnel verlegt und die frei werdenden Gleisflächen der Stadtentwicklung zur Verfügung gestellt.
Darüber hinaus entstehen mit dem Filderbahnhof am Flughafen, der S-Bahn-Station Mittnachtstraße und dem Abstellbahnhof Untertürkheim drei neue Bahnhöfe. Die im Projekt enthaltene Neubaustrecke Stuttgart--Wendlingen verbindet dabei den Hauptbahnhof über den Flughafen mit Wendlingen.
Was wird zur Zeit gebaut?

Im Bereich des Stutgarter Bahnhofs hat der Rohbau für den Tiefbahnhofstrog begonnen. Im Baufeld 16, im Bereich des Mittleren Schlossgarten, wurden bereits die Bodenplatte und die ersten Bahnsteige betoniert.
Die Hälfte der Zuführungstunnel ist inzwischen gegraben.
Ebenfalls werden zur Zeit die Tunnel der Stadtbahn, die dem Tiefbahnof im Weg sind verlegt.

Stuttgart 21 (or short S21) is a railway and urban development project in Stuttgart, Germany. It is a part of the Stuttgart-Augsburg new and upgraded railway and the Magistrale for Europe (Paris-Vienna) in the framework of the Trans-European Networks.
Its core is a renewed Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof, amongst some 57 km new railways, including some 30 km tunnels and 25 km of high-speed lines.
The new tracks are planned to cross below ground at right angles to the northern end of the existing building. Parts of the historic Paul Bonatz Hauptbahnhof building, the platforms and approach tracks would be demolished, and the land sold for development.
Which works are currently in progress?

Arround Stuttgart Mainstation excavation of the first pits are in progress. Between the moved platforms and the Paul Bonatz Hauptbahnhof building the main logistics route will pass through the pit to connect the construction sites in the "Mittlere Schlossgarten" with the central logistics area .
The tunnel-driving work for all tunnels in Stuttgart has been started.
Also tunnels of the subway were currently relocated because they are barring the way for the new station. - Věda a technologie

Ich frage mich eher warum manche Bagger nur so wenig in Ihrer Schaufel haben, gerade der mit dem Siebgreifer, finde ich komisch! Sieht aus wie vier Dinosaurier!
Rainer Herrmann Vermutlich sortieren die Bagger das abgetragene Material, Mülltrennungstechnisch :)

They're very slow, they take 3 times more time to finish a project than their Asian counterparts. The Germans spent 21 years to finish the train line between Munich to Berlin, the Chinese would take the same duration to build 2 cities... That's why Germans always end up with cost overrun....
Well the difference is: ask the residents or simply use the bulldozer. Or in other words: we care about the humans and the nature.

+Jentul Jay no, first of all in Berlin is taken care on the health and safety of the passengers in case of a fire. As you maybe have heard before Germany once had a disastrous fire on Dusseldorf Airport. I think nobody wants to risk just one fatality!
But the main problem in Berlin was that the public authorities decided to build the Airport without a general contractor. They thought that state government has the people and the knowledge to do this job on their own... well, today they have maybe realized the advantage of a professional general contractor.
S21Bau.TV that's my point, u take so long in doing these projects in the name of safety but u end up having safety issues like one of the bridges in Bayern that fell while in construction and killed one Romania worker.
The problem in germany is the bureaucracy monster in combination with the fact that every NGO and old men can pull up a lawsuite against any project. So you only need some angry grandpas who dont want anything to change in the last 4 years oft their live and boom, lawsuite and everything goes in years and years of courtwork. Same with enviroment-NGOs. One lonley nest of an endangerd species, some birds or even smallest insects and the project will get a delayed by YEARS. In short, every smart ass who thinks he knows it in some way better can stop any project, no matter how big, here in germany. No matter how stupid his ideas are or how lousy his reasons are, he can stop it by court. Want to learn more? Look up for the "Autobahn A20" and the "Fehmarn Belt Tunnel".
