As a casual ICP fan and general lover of all music these guys are genius . I've listened to several of there albums and also watch live performances(shit I remember watching then on PPV in 1999 at Woodstock beggin my mom to watch em cause there name just sounded crazy and I loved it) and I think most agree that there music is best enjoyed live but this song is one of the best I've ever heard. I had a cassette when I was like 12 and my friends dad came in the room laughing and snapped the tape in half. I've been listening to ICP for 24 years now and still love it.
I remember hearing this in 6th grade and being blowin away from what I heard the humor and violence was good for a healthy growing boy got out of ICP when hells pit dropped...old stuff still got a warm spot in my heart.
My parents were cool with violent movies, any other bands and songs. But my mom went through a phase back in the day, so she knows these songs well and refuses to play any of them near me. My dad foiled her plans and played Hocus Pocus near me and now I’m in love.
Haven't seen them in a very long time but went to at least 20 shows in the 90's and very early 00's and they were always a great time. The last time I think I saw them Tech N9ne was the co-headline. I met ICP, Twiztid, Blaze and ABK at different times after shows. Smoked a couple blunts with Twiztid & Blaze. After one show ABK invited me to hang in the tour bus with them but I noticed Shaggy was chatting up my girls while I was talking to Blaze and ABK so I thought it would be best if we just went home, lol.
I seen them in Concert several years ago, they are very wild ! If your eyes can handle the lights like this video you are doing good. But they are crazy good! ICP were like a comically exaggerated version of the MacManus brothers back then. This was when their musix was the absolute best. The beats, the dark humour, the creativity, and also some social commentary here and there, and the insans delivery - it was top notch. Sometime around the start of the new Millennium they had a few lackluster albums (Bizzar, Shangri La), but I'm glad most of their new material is pretty good. Not Great Milenko-level but still enjoyable.
I've been trying to find out who EXACTLY Produced (As In Sculpted) the Sounds of this Track. It's one of the most underated pieces of underground Music & is a lesson to ANY Producer. There's the Rhythm Guitar's, the Lead Guitars, then there's Multi-Panning Guitars, THEN there's a Thousand other sounds going on! It's So full of Sound yet completely Mixed out perfectly! I think it's Safe to say that the Entire Great Malenko Album is just Ground Breaking for it's Time & is a work of Art/ Amazing.
