+Rahim Abdi Thanks so much brother!!! that means alot, Im just trying to do my part for the whole kingdom! 1 love!
The beading around the male dolls neck is the Somali version of a Rosery. In the muslim religion God has 99 name that are attributes of HIM, so there are 99 beads, slip into 3 sections 33 each to use for additional prayers :) hope that helps brother. Much love!!!!
i love my culture and i am so proud to be somalia boy
iam more proud to be somalia too we have the most beautufl land and culure
sagal caday I know right I'm a proud Somali
It's called a tusbaax, yes we will let you in. At the end of the day we are all Africans 🇸🇴 and thanks for sharing our beautiful culture to us and other people around the world 🇸🇴🇸🇴
+Random Somalis Thanks so much for telling me that! and yes we are, of course, we must preserve and share all african descent culture, 1 love!
When you read "tusbaax", you pronounce the "x" as "h". The Arabic term is "Misbaha". Simply in English "Prayer Beads". It has 99 beads related to 99 Names of Allah (God). You use the fingers to keep track while you recite the quality names such as the Forgiving (Al-Rahman) etc.
GOD BLESS AFRICAN AMERICAN PEOPLE.
God who?
somalia I love my culture and Iam proud tobe somali
Hey Brother,

+4men2women Thank you so much! and yes we have to embrace who we are! 1 love.
I'm Somali and grew up in the conventional Somali household , and from what I know it is used by almost all Muslims, after we pray to God we praise him and we use it to count the number of time we praise him that it's original purpose but it is now sometimes used as an accessory to make ourselves look good.
+alimixali12345 wow! thank you so much, im very glad that i know now, I learned something new, thanks so much!
Wow!!!!!, I'M right here in Columbus, Ohio and never knew!

that "necklace" made out of beads that somali men sometimes wear is called a "tusbax" or more commonly known as prayer beads but they are not exclusive to somalis however.
Those Somali dolls caught my eye at the start! They're so beautiful :) Thanks for sharing, my African brother!
Yes we have to grow to love each other and learn for each other as Africans and blacks.

It is called tusbah in Somali =prayer beads is the best english translation I can come up with. For example you wanna say "thank God (alhamdulillah) " 100X then you'd use the TUSBAH to keep count. Thanks for your great videos. Your hard work is appreciated much! @Afric Network
amazing work.you are bridging the gap between the two communities.
thanks so much! yes we have to, 1 love!
Wow! Represent!!! The necklace is called a "tusbax" aka prayer beads.
Keep doing what you're doing!

Dude I'm so happy I found your channel!!!
it's amazing, keep doing the good work :)
+Hodan4utn Thank you so much queen!!!
The necklace is called Tusbax(Tusbah),it has 99 beads in total which is equivalent to the 99 names of ALLAH. Prior to that they wore colourful ones, and there are different ones that have different meaning,e.g one worn against evil eye,for protection. etc
+Jazz J Thanks so much for clearing that up for me, 1 love!
Yeah so the beady thing with the strings on the end is called "Tuusbaax" pronounced as Toos-baah. It has no significant meaning but it is used as a counting mechanism for supplication said in Islam. It has 33 beads the last one is in the middle with the string as a stop, not to loose count. at times it contains 99 with one large bead with the string as a stop aswell.
+DiasEnd90 - Wow thanks so much for explaining that to me! that means alot!

Bridging the gap between Africans and African Americans. Nice work.
#panafricanist
thank you always educational
this is a question people say somalis are black what do you think but some don't
+Nadhra Mohamed Of course they are there just cushites, all black people have different looks, just because islam came, and some arabs, does not change the whole population.
+Afric Network yh but are they black or somalis
Nadhra Mohamed
O i think i understand! sorry, Black is just a loose term in the western hemisphere or part of the world, yes somalis are somali part of the African continent and peoples, or as we say the term "black", not to be confused with African American. Alot of people think "black" means african american, its a term for all people of african descent.
now I can answer it when people ask thank you
You are very welcome, im glad I can help! ^_^

Thats the beauty of African americans ^_^ you just never know.
