I don’t have a dishwasher, I feel I’m able to keep my kitchen clean because we are tidy and don’t leave items out after used. It’s really about routines and good habits. Also my 12 year old does her own laundry since 8 years old including bedding. I don’t have to do everything like you do, my husband also does the cooking. The big factor is that we are minimalist. Teamwork is the dream work.
Good morning from North Carolina, for the washing machine use a cup of vinegar and run a hot quick wash to get it clean and deodorizer. The vinegar will kill any bacteria and odor. I clean as I go through the day in my kitchen. I also do a quick tidy in my house before bed. No decluttering or deep cleaning. Just a few minutes putting things away and sprucing up the pillows & blankets in the living room, straightening up the shoes. My mornings are so much nicer! Thanks for another lovely video! My husband used to paint various characters for a Warcraft game that he used to play along with several of his friends. He has since sold those items and now plays D&D once a month, with friends. He is an engineer for a manufacturing company and while doing his job of programming and making prints etc. he is inundated with questions from people, all day long, which really takes its toll on him. I don't begrudge him spending one day a month, getting a chance to get a little stress relief. He now has a digital printer and creates various things to make the game more interesting. Your husband did a fine job of painting his characters. I was always surprised that my husband was able to paint such tiny items and do such a great job. He was very particular how he painted his and didn't like sloppy work, so spent time being careful and neat, as I think your husband also has done.
Wow that's interesting. My husband played Eldar as a teenager and I bought him some figures or a book years later and he got back into it. I don't mind it it's a nice hobby but not if it covers the rug 😂😂
Hello Emma! Today is my partner bday! 🎉 I think is normal that at the end of the week your house is messier, mine is the same. I tend to do most of the housekeeping on thu-fri, leaving the weekend for outdoor activities or relax. But the house we are renting is only 2 beedrooms, much smaller than yours, so it's easy to keep it in order. HI Emma My husband and oldest son also paint miniatures like that, I showed them your husbands and my oldest son immediately said oh they're good blood bowl I think he said. They collect Games Workshop miniatures too, mainly Necromunda but lots of the others too my husband has been collecting and painting and wargaming since he was a teen when his mum bought him a copy of White Dwarf magazine one day when he was off school ill so over 40 years now, and both our sons love playing, they have a table top game together every weekend, They like to visit Warhammer world in Nottingham, its around 50 mins from us. My husbands mancave is full of them, fortunately his mancave is the whole of the converted attic so no longer all around the house!
Hi Emma, a dishwasher does help a lot i have a slimline one. When I'm cooking i fill my sink up with hot water and wash up as I go along and put thing in the dishwasher it does make it a lot easier. I'm from Chesterfield Derbyshire ❤
I do too always fill wash bowl with hot soapy water and wash what i use and finished with as i go along last thing the pans before we sit to eat our meal then theres only what we have eaten off and wipe round ,done 👍my dad taught me that actually as a teenager and iv passed it on to many a friend who have been grateful ❤️❤️Lizzie

Get yourself a tumble dryer and put it in the dining room, you can buy a cover to cover it if you want to , but I do think you need one rather than a radiator and maiden full of clothes.. 💐
At time stamp 13:00,all I could think about was how lovely the tall armoire from the playroom would look on that wall in your dining room. Since it’s not that practical for her games and craft projects upstairs,you could put all of the violin and other music cases inside,along with a space for all of her school books. Then with that basket out of the way,you could put the drying rack on the opposite wall under the shelf? Things are so much calmer and enjoyable when they can be properly stored,but out of sight. (It’s also a beautiful piece of furniture that nobody gets to appreciate right now.)

I meant the tall,wood cabinet with the two large doors,right now it has all of her games and craft project boxes stacked high.(Everyone was suggesting putting shelves inside to make it more practical) Since it’s one big opening,it could be useful to stand all of the music cases next to each other,and then possibly your two crate boxes stacked for her school books and bag. It would all have a home and shut the doors.🤭
Hi Emma! I know its cold in the UK again when you have on that lovely bright green jumper. I do have a dishwasher and sometimes it helps to keep the kitchen tidier. I think it depends on the meals we are making and how many items as used. It can be spotless than after I am cooking and baking it looks like a complete mess. I was thinking about your comments in regards to the TV. Could you get another ( yes im telling you to buy more haha) cabinet for the TV to go on top of but have it put on wheels/ castors. That way you could easily move it to tend to your plants on a more regular basis without having to have some jenga or twister moves to get to them. It could then be moved back and forth or even sit in front of your built in cupboard. There would be room for the cords to go inside and other TV related items. There might even be room to leave your craft items that you are working on or something else you would regularly reach for but it doesn't then have to be left out.
My mom's birthday is on May 28th! It is Memorial Day weekend here in the United States, so we have off on Monday. Curious about the reason for your bank holiday. Thank you for sharing your husband's figures and for him allowing you to. I haven't had a dishwasher for years and years and actually preferred not to use it. I try my best to wash as I go along or while I'm cooking. We have two thicker pads that we dry our dishes on, but I am thinking about getting a silverware contraption like you have to put on our counter.

I don’t have a dishwasher either but because I always have hot,soapy water in the sink,I’m constantly washing a few while food is in the microwave or on the stove,etc. It goes soooo quick because nothing is crusty!🤣😂😅

That chest of drawers is known as being for a bedroom in the UK though. Really I'd rather get rid of it but I'd feel guilty too 🙈🙈
