Would you believe that the show Supernatural is how I discovered Chris. Jensen and Co sang Tenessee Whiskey at a convention. I liked the song so looked it up and found this amazing talent. He is by far the most talented and soulful artist out there. He gives me goosebumps and makes me cry with that amazing voice of his. I love his authenticity. I never want to see him looking any other way than his own beautiful self.
Ladies and gentlemen, introducing the man who writes all the songs your favorite artists butcher to no end. He should have just sung every song he's ever written. We'd have a lot better music out there.
His rock band project was called the Jompson Brothers. That record is on iTunes. He was the leader of the SteelDrivers until he left to do the Jompson Brothers. Then he recorded an album, put out a single but the album has been on the shelf for a loong time. Traveller, his record finally comes out in May of 2015. If he is playing live anywhere near you, go. My wife and I have seen him with both the SteelDrivers and more so with the Jompsons. Can't wait to see him with Little Big Town here in Chattanooga next month.

Writers have more layers, but when they can portray that musically it’s magic. Way better than Josh turners, in my opinion. Stapleton covers great artist and he makes them seem irrelevant.

It doesn’t mean the man, the artist is a crap. Not at all, and in this case he’s a very good performer. Sometime, i would like artist like him to keep that kind of songs for themselves.
