This is why Jonny is the best, just sits back and lets his guest tell a great story. Truly humble guy with no ego. In the future, when Jonny is starring alongside The Rock in ‘TGS: The Movie’, I’ll take pride in knowing that I was here from day 1

Nice , very nice . But what is nicer is the clear pleasure he is taking from it.

That was one of the most enjoyable episodes I have seen, clearly the gun was the centre piece in many enjoyable flights for both men. Well done Jonny

S/S shotguns are not dead just taking a back seat to O/U.
    I have a very nice Boswell BLNE wildfowler 12ga, 3", 32", F&F, 8lb 6oz, 15 1/2", blind cross bolt, very well figured stock, scroll engraved, s/n 17581(1921)
    No lead restrictions here.
Nice post with lots of interesting pragmatic information and stories, with a happy ending, always respect the sea.

Stunning gun as a side by side lover but also a great interview, I don’t think people who don’t wildfowl realise the trials and tribulations on a foreshore and also the great retrieves a Gundog performs. 👍

Felt like I was sitting round a woodburner in my local with three mates talking about past experiences and an exceptional gun.....actually forgot I was watching youtube!!

Very nice, a gentleman's wildfowling piece.
I have a tolley, myself. 8 bore and use it on the seven estuary.

Very delightful conversation. This is indeed a conversation piece, but good conversationalists make it such. Bravo!

Is John related to the Resteghinis who worked for John Roberts and son at Covent Gardens? They did a superb job of restoring my James McNaughton in 1981. I believe that they continued on with Paul Roberts at Vauxhall bridge.

Hopefully it will be treasured for many generations.
I recall once having entered the showroom of a purveyor of a British (actually English) make of car. I was wearing jeans and a polo shirt. No salesperson approached me. After a few minutes, I initiated a conversation saying that I was considering a purchase. The response was, "I don't think you could afford one of our cars." I just said, "Well, perhaps I can't."
I did consider buying the whole dealership but that would have been a bad financial decision.
