This is so far the closest video I've found to explaining how it works but as some trying yo learn PCB and the components that are placed on it I wouldn't mind a more indepth revisit of this with a schematic and explanation of how it switched from solar panel to battery. Ah yes, you make a good point re curiosity and dissecting these. Believe me... I don't even need to have a reason to start taking things apart. My "What's Inside" videos range from very simple items to larger, more elaborate stuff. This one is simple indeed and actually is a stage setter for future videos that I have in mind to do (that way I don't have to repeat all the what's inside and how it works stuff). Is it possible to change the light bulbs to grow lights and change the battery to turn on during the day instead? Would be an amazing way to use these lights to help with flowers during growing season that are planted in shade.

It would be neat to make these smart, but the smart components would cost more than the actual light.
