AK question which city do you like best NYC or MIAMI ?...
Can't really compare the two. NYC has more action while Miami has the nice palm trees. More clean. But in terms of action and more things to do, I would pick NYC. And for more relax life . I'd pick Miami. Two different cities.

You should have your car completely checked by Toyota. There is more to a car than the battery. The fluids, transmission, brake, engine, etc. need to be checked. It may be a heavy b,lob from not using.

The rain and thunderstorms weather you had remind me of Home Alone where Kate and her husband and kids and brother arrived at the hotel by airport shuttle and it start to rain. Also, this reminds me of one of the episode of Family Guy where the Griffin family had to stay at the hotel because it was raining and they had to tell stories
