Idk I come from a family of hunters and the only ones I know people don’t catch and release elsewhere, are wild hogs (pretty much anywhere because they breed like crazy and literally destroy EVERYTHING (trees, crops, etc), and the pythons and anaconda in Florida. I’m in Texas and everyone seems to appreciate the armadillos and possums killing all the bugs in the area

Most of the time if there’s too many of one species it’s because somebody shot and killed too much of its predator. Stop needlessly, fearing certain predators and overhunting them and a lot of these issues will disappear. Example is adding wolves to Yellowstone fixed the to many herbivores problem.

Don't tell people to kill animals! The Armadillo has low numbers in most places already. They need to relocate them because they are a necessary part of nature. They dig tunnels that other animals live in. Let professionals handle these animals. Armadillos are a tough opponent. Please don't encourage people to handle them in any way. No joke is an understatement. Thank God I do not live where these are. The wild hogs are doing more damage than these and they are dangerous too. In Texas, you can kill as many as you want. Killing hogs doesn't bother me as much as the Armadillos. The Nutria is taking over everywhere too. Those aren't as dangerous, but the infestation takes over quickly. Please don't kill Beavers. They are the only animal who should make Dams. Beavers bring back the creeks and rivers. Agriculture doesn't like them, but they are doing what comes natural to them. Beavers are bringing back our Wetlands and turning deserts into oases. The Wolves help control the Beavers, the Nutria, and other rodents and pests. We are crowding out the animals. Eradicating species is never good, unless it is an invasive species. Beavers are not an invasive species. Every animal plays a part in a healthy environment. We need to study things a lot longer than we do. We don't think things through sometimes. We think we are doing something good, like fish hatcheries. We used to think fish hatcheries were saving the fish, but found out in just a few years, they were killing the Native species. By releasing fish from hatcheries, they are changing the DNA of their species to a weaker, smaller species or the hatchery fish dominate and kill the wild fish. Just be careful and safe. No matter what, wild animals are dangerous and will protect themselves. Any bite is dangerous. Ask for professional help.

Okay, I'm confused, I always thought that you were interested in the saving/conserving of wildlife, in spite of Mankind's arrogant perspective on his place and responsibilities to Planet Earth. I, myself, am no enemy of hunting I'm all for it when respect for the life taken is included by the hunter's understanding of how he himself is part of the natural order and there are unknown boundaries that the hunter must learn of, but only by opening oneself to the natural world..which isn't easy in the technocratic world we find ourselves. But, dramatic reductions in wildlife's population because of OUR intrusions into their world?? Ok, fine we need our farms and livestock protected, but an animal is gonna be an animal. Following the natural laws that govern its' existence and is now be punished for said existence. So I feel a lower percentage of kills set at 40% for sake of argument, would be more appropriate if only to not end up back where we had to go to save a species from extinction, get their numbers up, and then culling the numbers down to ten percent of a species in any particular area just sounds so wrong. I am glad for the awareness of this tragic circumstance, that I hope there a solution to soon. Self-preservation IS the first law of survival, so if it's us or them, I'd have to admit that I choose US, but don't expect me to like it!

Iguanas, Armadillos, pythons, carp, snakeheads, Lionfish, wild or feral pigs, cane toads, American Bullfrog, Giant African snail, Black rat, common starling, etc., etc., etc., And this is just a list of animals, not including plants! Plus there are more fish that I have listed as well. Most of these creatures would provide a good feed if caught or caught in sufficient numbers. Most wild meat is highly palatable, especially the feral/wild pigs! After easting wild boar, I will take it every time I can get ahold of it, it's that good!

The mentality of this content is disturbing and the advice is ill-advised and misguided. The nine-banded armadillo is indigenous to North America, including Florida, its ancestors having arrived during the Great American Interchange, peaking at 2.7 Ma. How many millions of years ago did our ancestors arrive? You actually say the nine-banded armadillo is "considered an an invasive species in Florida." A species BY DEFINITION is not invasive when it occurs in its native range. They were extirpated from Florida and now they have returned to this part of their range. Protect armadillos; don't exterminate them. By the way, the "pest" shown in the crosshairs at 0:24 is a European badger! We don't see European badgers in the Americas!
