@@pokemagetechiron boils at just below 2900 Celsius, so he probably just got his units confused. It’s also worth noting that steel comes in various alloys, which all have their own properties, including melting/boiling point.
It seems from what I can find that steel alloys seem to melt at higher temperatures than iron, but I’m not sure about boiling points.

I'm pretty sure it takes a much higher temperature than that to boil steel. Unless it's in celcius. But this is American so it would be in fahrenheit.

@@aces3743 Depends on the alloy. IIRC, a few tool steels can hang on to that point.
@@lukeyao6483 which is 2462F. And it varies. Carbon steel is 2500-2800 usually, stainless steel 2750.
Basically, it'd all be melted by 2960, boiling tho, not even close, as to boil it would separate back into its separate elements, and Iron boils at 5198F.

For anyone curious, that is roughly the boiling point of steel in Celsius, but the map is in Fahrenheit so it should still be fine to loot Cave Creek!
If you're fine looting red hot metal sludge and burning concrete that is.
As long as steel doesnt boil it should be fine. The human body is made up of mostly steel.

At 2,960 degrees farenheit, you wouldn't be able to get out while you can because you would burn to death in a total of 2 seconds. I couldn't even imagine such pain, but I do imagine that burning to death at 400 to 500 degrees would be more painful than 2,900 degrees because at 2,900 degrees, you'd burn to death so quickly instantly that there wouldn't be enough time to feel pain from it. At 450 degrees, there would be and it'd be more agonizing than imaginable. Thank God that we live on a planet that will never see temperatures that dangerously high.
