    I've been wrenching for 25 years, but only the last few have been on diesels. I've never done this job & when I do I'll have a head start. Thanks for the tips & tricks brother! 👍👍

    Hi, my name is Bruce. I have a CZcams channel Blindman handyman and Twitch. I’m taking the transmission out of a 6.7 L diesel 2011 and your description was awesome. My biggest worry was finding all the bolts you’re very descriptive. Thank you for that will well liner tip, I’m working on it today. Hopefully, I’ll get it out. I’m 100% blind.

    What transmission jack did you use for this job?

    • @NutsandBoltswithTone
      @NutsandBoltswithTone  Před 10 měsíci

      I have used like 3 different ones over the years. we have a big one that is set up for fuel tanks, I turn it long ways and use that one. That transmission is heavy so be careful. Thank you for watching .

    what is re and re time of trans? and everything needed to do it

    • @NutsandBoltswithTone
      @NutsandBoltswithTone  Před 2 lety +2

      I think book time is 9.5 hours for the upper oil pan. This includes trans removal. Parts you need. 4 Seals for oil cooler, 1 seal oil filter adapter, rear main seal, upper oil pan gasket, Ford silicone, 5 gallons of coolant, oil and filter, the newer oil cooler do not have a stud that goes through the upper oil pan, I always replace them with the job. Oil pressure switch is almost always leaking so maybe that. If u still have plastic lower oil pan then you will need that with 15 new Bolts. I think that's it. Hit me up on Instagram if u have anymore questions. Thx for watching

    How much does it cost to do this job?

    • @NutsandBoltswithTone
      @NutsandBoltswithTone  Před rokem

      I do not see dollar amounts and to be honest when I pull the transmission in these it is to do a rear main or upper oil pan or both. Not sure what the cost is. If you message me on Instagram with your vehicle info I can look up labor time but that is all I can help with. Thank you for watching.
