Hey, just wanna say thanks to Phoenix Reseller for coming out to Player 1 Gaming and spending some time with us we really appreciate all the feedback that we get and we love our customers and hope to see some of you guys soon. Have a super great week guys.
I would love to come to your shop but I don’t live there, I’ll try to go next time I’m there
@@Gaylime that would be great ty
I’ve searched it up and maps but can’t find it, is there a specific town?
This store is awesome! A friend and I came by last Friday and checked it out. Got some good deals too!
@@cosmocalypse3708 hey just wanted to say thanks for stopping in and hope to see you again soon and thanks for the kind words we appreciate it
It's good to see smaller businesses get coverage like this in your vlogs.
Love seeing how some cities have great stores like this and are succeeding.
Except for the part where he didn’t go to any of our good stores.
@@ihatecops. oof
@@ihatecops. huh?
the last store is so sick!
Love the friendliness from all stores. All 3 of you at Player 1 doing 'on the flip' was a cool finish 👍
Shout out Colin and Samir ❤
Meanwhile in Sydney the closest thing to a retro game store is the dodgy pawn shop thats selling a YLOD PS3 for $70
TF Games looks great, I wish there was store like this near me.
The
One in greensburg I'd nice
immediately the first store has to get ranked high for cleanliness and tidying up, looks like a perfect game store!!
You’re the reason I went back to gaming especially inspired me to buy the switch. I literally started collecting for Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64 and ps2.
The same thing happened to me. Hahaha
🖐️
@@cerberolegal1216 I meant to say he brought me back into the Nintendo scene. Xbox with it backwards compatibility and emulation already had me hooked on gaming but Nintendo was mostly part of my childhood. And now that you can game your childhood classics on Xbox it’s just amazing. But I am collecting the retro games just to display them in my future game room!
The last game store is like a 90s kids heaven. I would love to go to that store. So sick. If I am ever in that area def going.
Thanks to you and editor Riff for continuing to make new content alot of my other original reseller/collectors have stopped making much new content and it sucks Retro R is also one and CATRP
They are well manned. Excellent stock. Lovely layout
Agreed
Love the video and how you are showing these awesome local business!
I would say having a member pos system is definitely what a top-level game store/business should have.
you should checkout LA video games then, theyre new but they are top-class!
13:34 The Original Xbox in the mid-90s!? 🤯
The cat with the bark voice over got me rolling 😂 top tier editing 👌
Same lol
Riffs definitely back to editing the videos
I wish we had more genuine game shops here in the UK 😢
Phoenix Resale is such good channel, ”4.8 stars, 4.8 Stars & 4.8 stars.” Shoutout to editor Riff with that Mario sfx.
The only other collectors edition i can think of with a theme-fitting ball, is the dodgeball for this bully collectors edition. Its super rare to find, hell i never seen any big youtubers ever show it off.
Its something i would pay top dollar for as a good centerpiece for my ps2 collection. It has an artbook, a mini locker, that dodgeball, among a couple other small things that make it hard to find complete
I don’t game no more but I do appreciate me a good video game store just because I like the dopamine I get from seeing the broad selection of retro/ old but good games! Also cleanliness plays in a factor unlike GameStop where shits just scattered most lowkey good video game stores look like friggin hospital rooms everything is organized well it’s a fascinating thing to experience.
The last video game store reminds me of my mom and pop video game stores that used to be open in my area i loved them
BIG THANKS TO ALL THE LOCAL GAME STORES. THANK YOU FOR THE EFFORT AND GOOD SERVICE 😎😎!!!
I like watching you thrift video games while working, appreciate all the content
Yea, we def need more places like Matts around town. Love going in there, and then walking over to Nefertiti for some shwarma. Perfect trip everytime.
I’ve been watching you since the start always makes my day when content comes 😊
Just want to say that TF game and trade is my absolute favorite place I've sold many things there. The workers are so kind to me. I also bought many things from them and it's all well with Tham. And actually the one in Elizabeth town is the one I got to the most since it is closer to me than the one in Radcliff Kentucky. So if you want anything for cheap prices check them out. Definitely 12/10
What makes a good mom and pop store. Be it video games, sports cards, toys, or anything in the collectables market. Is good customer service and everything is priced. Nothing more annoying then having to constantly ask how much something is. Once GameStop goes out of business (it'll eventually happen) all that will be left are the small business game stores.
Awesome video, Caleb! I’ve seen you in my town a few times. Walmart and GameXChange. Kinda cool!
There used to be a great little shop in Radcliff called Game Krazy. They closed back in 2010-2011 iirc. That was quite awhile back! Anyway an older gentleman and his wife owned the store. They had a lot of rarities and regularly stocked DS imports and such. I got some great deals there back then, most notably Saturn Bomberman for $70! I'm not sure if the couple is around anymore or where they went after closing shop. They'd been opened since the 90s iirc. Wish the shop was still around so you coulda visited them!
Cherry bomb games was the best
@@ajroth419 They were good too. There was another shop on Dixie between Radcliff and Etown but I don't remember their name. Buddy's I think? Got some good deals there but they left some years ago and the building was demolished.
@@SpookyDollhouse wow forgot all about buddies. Blast from the past
Looking forward to your video when your buying RGT'S collection!
18:11 That Captain spalding doll is a fucking need.
That’s crazy, I live 3 minutes away from TF Games. They have really good deals on consoles, and old gen games like Xbox 360, and PS3 games. There was a game store heading towards Radcliff near the bowling lanes and it got tore down, and now is a pawn shop. They had very good prices for Xbox 360 games. Back when Black ops 2 came out they had it marked down for $20 instead $60 brand new in the game case. It was crazy! But sadly it’s not there anymore.
TLOU is one hte best gaming experiences you can have man, highly highly recommend that game series.
The food next door to matts is amazing!
Yay, comics!
10:47 TOO FUNNY LOL
Cant wait to see your RGT85 videos!
There is a small regional chain called play and talk by me that does the member price deal. The 3 stores are interesting 2 are big with alot of plushes and pop figures and such with some games and then the 3rd (closest and favorite to me) is kinda small but has a ton of games compared to the other but little in the way of plush and random things like that.
So glad I stumbled upon your channel! I recently got into collecting Gamecube, and I'll have to give these stores a shot. Repping KY well!
No one has GameCube stuff
And anyone who does asks for the most insane price tags you’ll ever see in your fucking life
My second favorite, the Dreamcast is even goddamn worse.
Nice I only been in ky 5 years haven’t found any stores like this on the west side though
the shed store was awesome, if he had 2 sheds put together, that would be a 5/5
Somerset ky used to have a decent game store in the mall, but ended up dying out. So sad. I remember them having a "age of conan" board game i wanted at the time but couldnt afford it.
I have went down the rabbit hole the past few days, been watching a lot of your vidoes.
I love the video convention videos. He comes across some incredible stuff.
Would love to see you check out the Gaming Co. in Pikeville. It's about 2 and a half hours from here in Lexington but every time I go back to visit family I have to stop there. It's one of the things I miss most about Pikeville.
The SP I had as a kid
cuts to baby Mr Krabs
LOVE IT!
Nice more great stores and pickups
Wouldn't use ebay for price checking. Scalpers over price everything.
Look up through the decades in louisville, KY
Ben waiting all week for a video 😂 can’t wait for the whatnot stream
using that top gear ost is awesome!
damn wasn't expecting the first store to be 20 minutes away from my location
Caleb, so excited for you to experience The Last of Us for the first time! I'd give anything to experience that for the first time again. Little tip just in case you didn't know/forgot though, they completely remade the original game for the PS5 and it's called The Last of Us Part I. It's got both highly improved graphics and enhanced gameplay. Not to say that the original and PS4 remaster are the inferior versions, they hold up just fine but I reckon the PS5 remake is the most ideal version to play, especially for a first-timer since it's got so much more accessibility options. Peace, love and positivity, Caleb ✌️ Catch ya on the flip!
They sell more toys and merchandise than video games
That Galaga window display is a must for me.
Holy crap I know exactly where Matt's Games is! I used to live near there several years ago and if I remember correctly there used to be a place called Game King in that plaza, I don't know if that's a different store or if they just rebranded it. I miss Cici's pizza there, it's been years since it closed down. I'm thinking it's about time to take a little adventure down there to check it out!
Sealed vintage Hip Gear for your original XBox, I love seeing stuff from the mid 90’s
WTF, mid 90’s, bruh, c’mon man.
Hey I really enjoy, supporting othe content creators and showing them support through the journey and I love making youtube content as while been very passionate about since I was 18 years old thank, you
I need to check out that Player 1 place.
People like Matt? I’ve heard him trash talk every customer after they leave while I was in there. This is the reason I don’t go to Matt’s anymore. One of the old employees even told me he trash talked me and my friend after we would come in the store. No doubt this is the worst LGS I’ve ever been to. I used to work at a card store in Lexington, Matt would have his employees bring Pokémon, magic and yugioh cards in to sell to us. We bought them at 60% cash, the employee he sent told me they paid 30-40% cash and would come to us to quickly flip them.
You gotta come see some the game stores in Michigan
Hey if you ever get a chance come to Time Warp in Ashland, KY or Old North Arcade in Huntington, WV.
I’m liking that he has a camera man now. Crazy how far he’s gone. Keep it up bro
That madden 06 with yoda on the cover is SUPER RARE CANNOT FOUND THAT ANYWHERE!!!
I want to spread about that there is a TF Games also in Greensburg, KY.
The cat barking cracked me up, I don't know why. 🤣
bro same lmaooo
@@goodnightmoon stop cursing its a sin dude...............
We use to have planet replay in
Md and I miss it. I use to get anime boxsets for a dollar there. But now I am a reseller cause I own 3 stores worth of games and anime now.
sad cuz here in atlanta, we seem to only have one or two "game stores" other than gamestop. love ur videos i just feel like im missin out!
Have ya made the quick roadtrip up to Greenville SC?
These vlogs are top tier.
Polo horses! I have that same sweater twins in black
Absolute love when you give your bud the impossible 10 second challenge
Number one has to be having a price on games, so many stores you have to ask for price, then they give you a high price and you have to awkwardly say no thanks.
You should check out Secret Castle Toys and Games in Owensboro KY.
I’ve always wanted to get in one of the videos this man was right down the street and never knew😂😂
I live in Elizabethtown. TF games is a great place!!
Awesome stores!
awesome stores too by the way..
I love play 1 gaming. I use to live down the road and would ride my mini bike there
I went to a yard sale recently and got a Xbox 360 with games, Kinect, controles and chargers
This is some NEXT LEVEL content
Riff at it again with the quick inputs lmfao
It’s not profit until it sells - I’d LOVE to see a video talking about how long you sit on inventory??? I’m sure there are things that have never sold even
When he was walking across the road in the intro I could only imagine him being hit by a car lol
I got a giant Mario at GameStop for 12$ it sits on my couch they had it in the clearance section
Everyone knows the Yackin brings ‘em Backin
It’s not switch themed but could you do a vid on the second hand market of toys to life games, it’s a weird but interesting market and its clearly something that’s common in the stores in your area
Love the content should try and upload more often keep up love the vids
Rick sounds like the creator of Breaking Bad Vince Gilligan
@18:43 Is that a Tales From The Crypt doll or is it just me?~ 😉 Nice~ 😎🔥👍
Yes it was we keep him to look over the store lol.
Didn’t watch video, but my guess is that some people run on good, honest customer service. Something that may be hard for you and your buds to understand.
Haven’t watch the whole video yet, but I’m willing to bet the stores that give you the most money for your trade ins are the higher rated ones
Common Dezerbro L 🦭
what ?💀🤦♂️
You should definitely come to infinite collectibles in Paducah Kentucky it’s a 4 hour drive for you but it’s the closest place I have where I live in Kentucky definitely worth checking out
That assassin's Creed 3 years ago at Walmart brand new was 19.99 😂. It's high reviews there because lack of options. People who don't get to experience a lot don't have anything else to compare to.
13:30 They could've done pal covers
you have to go to secret castle toys and games in Owensboro Kentucky
Ain't no judging I haven't played Last of us either. Also would love to go game hunting with you in my area someday and check some of the highly rated gamestores in the Seattle area
You should come to Western Kentucky and visit Infinite Collectibles in Paducah!!!
“The original Xbox from like the mid 90s” 😮
Dude I swear I saw you in one those game stores today in Lexington.
