    As part of its Graduate Engineer Trainee programme, the company is inviting online applications till January 19 from B.Tech and B.E. students who will be graduating this year from AICTE-approved institutions. Shortlisted candidates will have to take an online assessment between February 5 and 8, with personal interviews set to follow thereafter, the report adds.
    The facility, which will serve Lenovo’s customers globally, includes a network operating centre (NOC) and security operation centre (SOC). The centre is designed to deliver remote infrastructure managed services (RIM).
    US chipmaker Qualcomm plans to open a new design centre in Chennai, which will create about 1,600 jobs, reports The Economic Times.
    The new centre will specialise in wireless connectivity solutions, WiFi technology, and research and development related to 5G.
    There is an increased focus on Make in India and Design in India, says Savi Soin, President, Qualcomm India.
    Meanwhile, French global auto parts manufacturer Valeo also announced its plan to hire 3,000 people for its technical centre in Chennai, reports businessline.
    Muthoottu Mini Financiers Ltd is planning to hire more than 2,000 people from across the country in the next one year, businessline reports.
    These new roles will be for all levels of experience - senior talent for sales and marketing and regional manager roles, mid-level professionals for branch managers, and entry-level roles as relationship executives, the report says. Most of the recruitment will be in Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Haryana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra, says CEO P.E. Mathai.
    The NBFC currently has 900 branches in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Pondicherry, Delhi, Haryana, and Gujarat. It will be opening 1,000 more branches across India by FY24-end, the report says further.
    The company provides easier access to gold loans as its core function, apart from wealth management, money transfer, insurance, gold coins and jewellery, and bill payments. It has an existing workforce of 4,000 people, adds the report.
    In the initial phase, the shared support centre will deliver a broad suite of remote infrastructure managed services on servers, operating systems, virtualisation, storage, network, data protection, database, middleware, security operations, public cloud operations and vendor management.
    IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is looking to hire between 1.25 lakh and 1.5 lakh employees in FY24, reports The Times of India.
    IT firm Infogain plans to hire 800 employees in India in FY24, reports The Economic Times.
    It offers digital solutions to companies in the technology, healthcare, insurance, travel, telecom, and retail industries. The focus is on cloud, microservices, automation, Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence.
    Infogain currently has offices in Noida, Bengaluru, Pune, Gurgaon, and Mumbai. It is planning to open satellite offices in Tier 2 cities, says Dayapatra Nevatia, President and CEO.
    The company is also actively looking for acquisitions to deepen capabilities, Nevatia adds.

    The CEOs are taking a stand and are fed up with employees that want to stay remote. Good for the CEOs. Lay them off since they do mot want to go to work . And now they are all crying about not having a job. Lolololol ...I love it.
