The female singer is Minna Seo. She is a 20 year old So Korean jazz singer. I read she is call “ the Princess of Jazz”. She & V’s voices blended so well. To me V’s voice is like silk & honey & envelopes you in a warm hug that penetrates your soul. A big thank you to his Grandmother who helped raise V till he was 14 & who introduced V to the old classics, R&B and of course, JAZZ. I want more of jazzy V.

This was such a freaking treat! V in his jazzy zone and she had such a lovely, pure sound. The band was incredible, love to see docskim on the keys and John eun on the guitar, especially when you think about how docskim was going to leave music until he started working with Namjoon on indigo..... what a tragedy that would have been!!

I swear I heard this song around Christmas this past year. I was shopping in a store and I heard V's voice singing this song! I froze and just stood there listening to the song. Saying "That has to be V, I'd know his voice anywhere"!

V’s voice is the kind that is organic, pure and simple. He can perform at the drop of a hat in a club or anywhere bcuz his voice doesn’t need embellishments like in a studio with auto tunes and digital music accompaniment. I love my V. Thanks John for the reaction!.👏👋💜

Taehyung is a natural crooner and does struggle, if you can call it that, in Kpop. They do tend to make him sing way higher than he should. His chest voice is soooo dreamy. DID I SAY TAEHYUNG CAN SCAT! There is no doubt he could have an amazing solo career but BTS without him just is a no go LOL

Tae has such a beautiful voice. He has an old soul. He sounds like Bing Crosby. I am hoping his new album will be this type of music. It really fits him well.
The official Bing Crosby twiitter account loved this and shared the link to Tae's live performance. They retweeted someone else's about Tae that mentions both Bing Crosby & Fred Astaire. Bing & Fred are from the same era so I immediately thought of Fred in 1935 "Top Hat" movie. I used to watch all the old movies with my mom.
Both artists are amazingly talented and the clips does Le_Jazz_de_V no justicd. I am still watching in awe since the video dropped. V's homage to Jazz was beautiful. He hit every note and there was no auto tune just raw vocals ❤ both of these artists are so talented ❤ i smiled throughtout the video❤
I pray V's solo album will hv his own Jazz song on them cus he've really got me interested in Jazz now.

The only people who could get me to listen to Christmas songs in summer are the boys from BTS. Hopefully these two songs make their way onto V's album, I would love to have them on repeat on Spotify. V's voice suits these types of songs so well and it's just like a warm hug

That was a treat, indeed. I love that he is obviously in his element, loving it and introducing a lot of people to Jazz as well. They are such accomplished musicians and singers, so amazing to watch such young men blooming after such hard work.

Do you remember that episode of V taking a road trip? The playlist that he went through on that trip shocked me. It included Bing Crosby and Procal Harem, the UK rock group from the 60's. And he knew all the words to both! What is the Venn Diagram for that? His knowledge of western music history is unbelievable. What a musical vocabulary.
I thought it was interesting that he made very little eye contact with his duet partner, Minna Seo. Usually, when I watch jazz duets there is a lot of give and take done visually.
I know he studied jazz prior to joining BTS, I didn't know he kept it up. Brilliant.
I can see real possibilities for a career in Jazz for our dear V. I can listen to that sultry, dark, baritone voice forever.
That voice is made for this genre of music. You could Tae him fitting in with Bing Crosby, Louis Armstrong, The rat pack etc just as easily as he does with any of his contemporaries. A duet with Lady Gaga would be awesome she is very good in this genre too. Michael Buble beware I think Taehyung could take the title lol

Thanks for a great reaction. This was the best gift. You can tell that Tae really loves and takes Jazz seriously. He nailed not only the vocals but the whole atmosphere of Jazz from his clothing, the set, the live instruments. I love how Tae and Minna Soe's voices blend and I hope they do many more songs/performances together. She did the backing vocals for the version of It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas that Tae gave us for Christmas last year. I am so happy Tae is pursuing his love of Jazz and I'm sure he'll also pursue his love of R&B/Soul as well. I've been eager for his solo album and his performances like this make me even more so. I can't wait to see the various genres that Tae explores in his Chapter 2. Jazz is timeless and the type of music he can easily continue doing well into his advanced age. Yes!! Me too! I had it on replay the entire night! I grew up listening to this music due to my parents!! I know all these old timers. Im just happy that a new generation can keep carrying it on! We dont want this music to be lost! No matter your age! This is truly classic!
Both songs were beautiful! Dancing Cheek to Cheek was amazing! I wish my mom was alive so she could hear this. She was very much into Big-band era music, and she loved Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and i believe she would love Kim Taehyung as well.
