    Those are great Kennis, probably the most effective blackout curtains I’ve ever seen!

    This is great. Blackout curtains haven't worked out well here in Alaska. Eventually we made our own out of large dark towels put on rings. They work great! The downside: they don't prevent noise. We'll definitely strongly consider getting these. Thanks.

      I'm really happy with them. Of course soundproof is not 100%, but will for sure reduce sound.

      Ha! If I lived in Alaska with 24 hr sunlight, I'd have aluminum foil over my windows lol. I don't care who thinks I'm a dopehead. I'm getting my sleep. Windows be damned! 🤣
      Hey Kennis, you may think about tinting those windows with some 5% blackout tint. It'll cut down the light, also.

    You also need to pay attention to the level of reflection back from the curtain into the room. The quality of your picture will be better with a fabric that reruns no light back into the room. Many black curtains are directional and do reflect some light back. I am looking into using a fabric that will return no light ( triple black velvet or Deavor.

    you should also tint the windows. also, did you balance out the opposite side for sound?

    Nice job, Kennis! I've got pretty decent blackout curtains in my room. During the day, it probably blocks out 80% of the light. Maybe more? Dunno but they work pretty well.
    Edit: I'd say mine block about as much as you showed.
    The best thing is aluminum foil. But then people think you're growing stuff or that you're a dopehead 🤣 luckily my room was on the back of the house so no one saw it.

    Nice video - would love to know how much light they block if you used the motorized rollers.

    I want to make my bedroom soundproof because I sing and talk loud a lot and as well as in the bathroom which is in the room. The house I live in have thin walls and I have roommates, would this work for me?

    • @kennisrussell
      @kennisrussell  Před 3 lety

      Probably not, unless you covered all walls with it. And there are better products for just soundproofing than this.

    At 6:00 at night the sun would be streaming into the windows on the west side of your house, not the east side. Good video otherwise.

    This guy is probably lying - I bought the curtains after seeing this review and boy do I regret buying from this company. I've been getting weird spam calls from China ever since, and their curtains first and foremost do not work. I also received a different size from what I ordered but their customer service told me to donate them and that they were keeping my money. I paid 140 for the curtains.
