Your welcome Jason. I’m sure you can still read this . I hate that you are gone but hope at least you are free from your mental prison. It’s been 6 months today since you left and we are all still hurting and miss you, but at least hope you are at peace . You live on here too though, in our memories, your works , and the mark you made on so many, including myself.
Hurts me listening to this today after the news of your passing. Mental illness is real and no one should feel suicide is the answer. R.I.P. to a legend and my childhood hero.
@@ela94-rockz10 It is sad, he was a lot of peoples hero. What people don't understand was he was human. It hurts my heart too that such a good manost his life to mental illness. I help him in high regard still do. Mental illness is a serious disease. Though suicide should not be a way out, it is easier said then done. When you get so deep in and are hurting so bad suicide seems to be the only answer. We have come a long way in understanding mental health but we have a long way to go. I wish with all my heart he had not succeeded in his attempt. The world lost a good soul that day. May he rest in power and no longer be suffering his mental pains.
I knew this was a cry for help when I saw it looking back. I never cried so hard for anybody famous until he passed. I met him several times and he remembered me from the time before, I never thought there'd be a day where I wouldn't see him again. I always imagined he was my big brother back in MMPR days and often imagined he picked me up from school and showed me the dragonzord, I had a wild imagination but I told him that and he smiled and gave me a handshake hug sorta deal. He will always be my brother that watched over me when I was younger. I love you JDF, until we meet again.
Cherish that you did get to meet him, more than once at that. Us other fans (like me) that haven't met him will never get that chance. I've found myself over these couple of days carrying that heavy regret that I didn't make an effort to go meet him. He was a HUGE part of my childhood--actually making me even more proud to be a 90s kid. I wish I could have told him Thank you.

I was always focused on the positivity JDF gifted to us rather than paying more attention to him as a vulnerable person just like everyone else. Hearing this for the first time helps me comprehend his passing better. No matter how strong we portray ourselves and how much love we can give to others, these feelings can still be present on the inside, I wish he found a different way to manage and not leave the world like this. You gave me the absolute best childhood memories JDF, I hope there is something better on the other side for you.

I joined the military in 2001-2007 after September 11, as a youth You taught me to protect the weak and that we all need a team to overcome evil. We love and miss you, Rest In Peace and Power. As someone who mentally "went dark" this shakes me to my core. Fighting the battle to get back to light is fighting to feel whole again. But the harder you fight the wider the gap seems to be. But just when you're ready to give up and sink, God reaches down and pulls you up above the waves. It helps so much to know that I was not alone in the war of the mind. I felt ashamed that I felt the way I did, I felt like I wasn't a good enough Christian, but it was just me believing the lies that Satan was whispering in my ear. Having someone that understands what it feels like to drown in your thoughts and unable to ask for help because you're supposed to be "the happy one", it helps me in my journey of letting go and letting God take control.
I have been searching for a Mantra for months !!! Nothing has ever touched my soul or made me feel something. Hearing the passion in your words. I got goosebumps when you say “stand up if you want to be free”. That’s it!! I keep repeating it and I feel so good. Just got back from the gym and came right to your channel to watch the videos 😍😍 still my role model still my guide.
Thank you so much JDF!!! This poem meant so much. As a person who was bullied throughout elementary school, middle school and high school, who never though she would see the light through the darkness, this means so much to me. I've got the biggest problem with spending too much time in my own head thinking about every mishap and mistake I make but I'm trying to overcome that a little each day. My ballroom dance professor this past semester truly impacted me to stop agonizing over a situation. Her words to me were "forget the ADHD, forget the anxiety, just dance from your heart."
I have felt the same way. Never put words to it. Simply amazing that you could put into words what I have tried for so long to. Thank you! There are days and even nights I get like this. Learned (it's been a year or two now) not to let it control me anymore and take my joy. God is bigger. We can say it all day long but it is dofferent whwn you feel the words. You know what I mean. When all other lights go out take a moment to find your candle. Whether it's a person or a thing find it and keep it near. Rip Jason David Frank I really truly miss you I grew up watching you on Power Rangers when I was growing up I'm Going to miss videos that you made on Mental Health and I do have mental issues myself and I thank you for taking the time to make these videos you are truly power Ranger godbless you and may you rest in peace my hero.
My mom was hospitalised in August last year. While she was inside, I tried to cope the best way I knew, even resumed jogging. I felt emotionally down at that time, and somehow I wondered how Tommy the Power Ranger would go about his fitness routine, how would he pick himself up after pausing his run. I'm 34 this year, and it was odd that I was thrown to my childhood days. Fast forward to months later, I felt part of me shattered when the actor, Jason David Frank, was no longer with us. I tried moving on, thinking it is what it is. Now I realise, part of me is grieving, as the original Power Rangers series was part of my growing years all along. It never felt the same.
Wow man this spoke to me on so many levels I was getting emotional during the video. This is me everyday, I have days in which I feel so overwhelmed by life and my mind is filled with doubt, uncertainty and darkness that I don't want anything to do with adult life. I always feel stuck, stuck, stuck and I don't know what to do! The reason why this video spoke to me is because I've been struggling to get a job since I got out of college never had a job while I was in high school either so I'm still living with my parents. What keeps me going is the positivity of power rangers, you, your cast members, and my power rangers collection even my mom and my sweet loving cat. My mind feels handcuffed often and at times I want to hit something to release this tension that builds inside of me (not hurting myself in the process though). I'm grateful for people like you!

As a person with adhd it took me a while to get out of my shell and be a little more confident in myself but I've always had friends to support me and you my jdf you inspired me to never give up and to fight for what I believe in

There's times I can't describe how I'm feeling when I try to talk about it I go through depression anxiety and that makes it worse but when I watch your poems that you make I can totally relate to what you're saying it's like you're speaking for me keep up the amazing work

Isn’t it crazy how when we feel we wish we were numb, and when we are numb we would give anything just to feel something. Takes a lot to fight. It’s the demons we can’t see that are the hardest to beat, or at the very least, keep at bay.

My uncle wrote a poem like this when he first got out of prison and it makes me wonder if that's what he battles every single day. I truly wonder if he longs to be behind bars or if he is ok without being isolated and battling his demons... Deep down I know I really don't know much about him and I can ask but he doesn't talk to me much about anything. The poem he wrote though is called Caged something but he used the term prison a lot inside of it. This poem has been making me wonder if he's thinking of that or not... I think I'm gonna try to talk to my uncle today sometime now... Thank you, JDF. I know I've mentioned this one time but I cherished that phone conversation we had when you were at the Con in Idaho.
I wish from the bottom of my heart these videos were made more public then they were. This guy and many like him suffered in silence. Depression, bipolar, personality disorders, etc are no joke nothing to be taken lightly. But they are Unfortunately, they are yet to be taken seriously. Guys still think I should not show my pain my suffering. Women don't want be seen has fragile or hysterical. This man was my hero someone I strived to be more like. I wanted strive to and as he said. To hear so may years later how much he suffered and how just like many of us was locked in that mental prison. 💔 I wish the world help more. I wish there was not such stigma around mental health still.

People sure will find comfort in your words by knowing they are not alone in their thoughts...you reinforce that there is hope and the light is there if you can find the strength to fight against your mind - the light that will free you from your mental prison.
I’ll no doubt revisit this poem to find that positivity when I feel I’m in a dark place, so I can find the strength to fight, which I’ll find through your words.

My uncle wrote a poem like this when he first got out of prison and it makes me wonder if that's what he battles every single day. I truly wonder if he longs to be behind bars or if he is ok without being isolated and battling his demons... Deep down I know I really don't know much about him and I can ask but he doesn't talk to me much about anything. The poem he wrote though is called Caged something but he used the term prison a lot inside of it. This poem has been making me wonder if he's thinking of that or not... I think I'm gonna try to talk to my uncle today sometime now... Thank you, JDF.
I know I've mentioned this one time but I cherished that phone conversation we had when you were at the Con in Idaho.
I wish from the bottom of my heart these videos were made more public then they were. This guy and many like him suffered in silence. Depression, bipolar, personality disorders, etc are no joke nothing to be taken lightly. But they are Unfortunately, they are yet to be taken seriously. Guys still think I should not show my pain my suffering. Women don't want be seen has fragile or hysterical. This man was my hero someone I strived to be more like. I wanted strive to and as he said. To hear so may years later how much he suffered and how just like many of us was locked in that mental prison. 💔 I wish the world help more. I wish there was not such stigma around mental health still.
