- Chris Stuckmann reviews Die Another Day, starring Pierce Brosnan, Halle Berry, Rosamund Pike, Toby Stephens, Rick Yune, Judi Dench, John Cleese, Michael Madsen, Will Yun Lee, Samantha Bond. Directed by Lee Tamahori.
I'm glad chris is finally talking about this MASTERPIECE
"He surfs into Korea, and that is where the film goes south." Actually he goes "North"
It was hilariously sad that Pierce Brosnan ended his role as James Bond with this one. He was excellent in the role.
the start was actually intriguing where Bond gets captured and is tortured. It could've gone somewhere interesting with that but instead the rest of the movie happened lol
Tomorrow Never Dies is the most underrated Bond film. It's scary how relevant the villan is in todays world.
Things I learned today: Goldeneye and Casino Royale were directed by the same guy.
This movie had some flaws. But still I liked it
I'll be honest, I miss the shamelessness of the 2000's.
To be honest, this looks like what fast and furious is turning into
I see you started with the finest James Bond film of all time.
Die Another Day broke the Bond rule of using CGI instead of record breaking stunts. When he surged down that PS2 looking tidal wave I laughed.
In Norway, that "big bang" line was translated as "Has Bond told you his theory on black holes" and I remember laughing so hard at it.
The James Bond film that goes the most batshit insane.
The part where he's surfing and then goes off the ice ramp at the end even Pierce looked like he wanted to get out of this movie as fast as possible lol
"Bond, you will infiltrate the North Korean coast via an unorthodox method."
Tomorrow Never Dies probably has the most relevant villain, just in terms of a media/tech mogul who thinks he's god. It is the 2nd best Brosnan in my opinion.
Fun fact, Madonna is still the only theme song artist to also make a cameo in the movie.
Did he just give the James bond movie with arguably the most sexual innuendos a D+, and pretended like it was nothing?
I have to say - I have a totally different opinion on 'Tomorrow never dies' - I found it interesting and very clever how they played with the classic bad guy trying to gain 'world domination' - he even uses this line in his monologue, with a cool take on it. Michelle Yeoh is always a win - and the motorcycle escaping the helicopter was an iconic scene.
I don't find 'Tomorrow Never Dies' as boring, even with the exposition-full script. Probably because I'm biased as that was the first Bond film I've ever seen.
