Never put wood under it when loading it if you are dropping the trailer I have a mechanical and I never put wood under it becasue it will get crushed or can slide and cause a problem

Quick question the timber under the truck when releasing the neck from the trailer - I've seen that before is that the only way to seperate an RGN? I'm not a trucker, but I've always been curious as to why they don't have some sort of bar that would do the same thing versus having to stick the block of wood under the truck when detaching.
