    I love this city ❤
Brasilia is not as touristy as others in Brazil but it is a modern and futuristic city that provides quality of life. Its architecture and urban planning is world famous and what I like the most is the urban mix with the green, the watercolor sky that anywhere in the city where I am, I can admire!

Well said! We love it too - such a unique city. Felt like an open air museum of modernist architecture.

Glad you liked it! I do not know what country you are but you came in an time where the weather is very dry and hot, very sunny during the day and the night is very cold ... haha ... things from Brasilia ... the girl does not seem to be accustomed with a strong sun ... 😁 but for such a new city is so full of charms

Allow me to disagree, IMHO Brasilia is segregated by design. Too much city planning, not enough city life. Ask any serious urban planner about Brasilia and the majority of them will simply say that the city is pretty laughable in many aspects, there's a lot of potential wasted.

Thank you for this concise and informative video! I'm from the U.S. but I recently made a friend from Brasilia and I plan on visiting in the next year or two, so I'm trying to learn all I can. I've never even been outside my own country, but I'm already in love with Brazil and soo excited to start my travels in such a beautiful, diverse, and welcoming place! 🇧🇷

I live in the US and am in my late 60s. I remember reading about Brasilia becoming the capital when I was in elementary school. We received a weekly magazine in school every week and one issue had an article about Brasilia, complete with a lot of photos of the unique architecture. It obviously made a huge impression on me.

Oscar Niemeyer is famoous for his curved designs.
So much like Zaha Hadid, Oscar Nemieyer believed that a straight is all but a boring and plain. If im not mistaken, his architecture was inspired by the vast mountain ranges found in Brazil.
He is a modernist who reshaped his home city into his visuals and ambitious curve and circular aesthetics.

It is often said that Brasilia has no corner, that is not used to it is a little lost. this was the modernist intention of architect Oscar Niemeyer. He was an architect of curves. Before Brasilia was the capital, the state of Bahia was the first capital of Rio de Janeiro.

To begin I will talk abaut the most famous place in Brasilia, the square of three powers wich is a square with three buildings that represents the three powers of brasilian governament. But if you come to Brasilia you have to go on Pontão, in there have a beautiful view of Paranoa lake and you can also go on boat ride on the lake.

I must tell you that Brasilia is not just those places you have visited. Missed to visit the University, has as many works of Niemeyer as in the center of Brasilia. I recommend you visit during the week, and if you need help you have the university's language departments and Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism that will be happy to show you the university and its curiosities.

Brasília os the most soulless city of Brazil. Most part was by Oskar Niemayer, an architect influenced by ( as was said) Corbusier, but with a very stalinist comunist bias; so all the buildings are "gigantic" and towards the "social greatness", and opresses the individual feeling of the citizens. It's the most hated city nowadays, because It represents the distancie between the poliitical "Power" and the people of Brazil. ( Please, I'm not against the people who lives there). By the way, the plano of the city was NOT made by Mr Niemeyer, but by the architect Mr Lúcio Costa ( all that thing about Airplane etc...). But Your video is Very Nice !!😊 Alles Gute !!😊😊😊👍
