Jos is a beatiful place. Like other cities in the country, it cries for investors in the value chain for food, and agriculture. Most especially in transportation, and storage. Another area of need is processing. We have lots of produce that go to waste because they are not being processed in the country.

The climate of Plateau State which is relatively very colder/cooler in the tropical belt/region the country sits on with an average temperature between 18 and 22°C makes the State strategic as evident as can be seen in many pre/post-colonial era 'marks'/influences spread across the State. Significant deposits of certain solid minerals contributed as well to, part development of some climes home and overseas. No doubt the clear attraction of Missionaries/Europeans mostly to this ideal region, a blend of distinct-climes with a fine non-extreme weather. The weather/climate (Plateau State sits in the Guinea Savannah, on a relatively elevated land/highlands at an average over 400m above sea level) of Plateau State makes it standout in the cultivation of crops/fruits/vegetables ordinarily not supported in the tropical region- strawberry, grapes, brocoli, et al. The previous administration of ex-Governor Jonah David Jang saw the attraction of an Israeli agricultural/development investment which bithed the ASTC (Agricultural Services and Training Centres) spread over a number of bountiful locations to harness, support, develop/industrialise/mechanise further the abundant potentials but such has not been sustained/maintained/upheld till date. Plateau State with about 40 mountains spread over the State is only next to Taraba State with over 50 mountains.
I am an Anaguta native, of Jos North.
Bravo David for your industrious/illustrious cause.

In America the best potatoes are Idaho potatoes. Im from New York State and we produce a lot of potatoes also. I think the government should invest in the infrastructure in a way that the market would support itself. No need to build a new market, improve and modernize the present one. Then, you'll understand as a farmer/one who's come handy with this in reality that these carry the soil depicting fresh-harvests in the most local/natural form in today's 'advanced-world'. No GMO here and the dynamics in the square points to how true the crop is to its form.

In the year of 1845- there was a blight that destroyed the crop and caused the Great Irish Hunger Famine which the English were responsible for starving us off our land and yet Ireland was rich in other ways such as foodstuffs , cattle, sheep- etc--- which was all being shipped to the UK - to feed the Monarchy while we the IRISH starved to death in Ireland on our own land.
