Only lazy youths will complain, Nigeria is a land of opportunities.
Former President said it and some of us insulted him. Most people are lazy. Opportunities abound.
@estherodanga4238 you are right. Everybody wants white collar jobs, but economies were built by hardworking blue-collar men like Samsung, Honda, etc. We graduate people from engineering, yet we import refrigerators, TV, mobile phones etc.
@Emmanuelogazi ,God bless you
The best way for the government to help these farmers is for them to provide rail tracks with refrigerated wagons and stations to all the farming communities to help move their produce to the cities, this way encouraging the loval economy.
How can that happen with evil thieves in power
Generally All Nigerians are Traders/ Business people. All we need is just good governance, infrastructure( constant Power, good road networks), Security, easy access to Capital etc...
You're asking for a lot there. Remember we're talking about Nigeria here.
Good governance in the same sentence as Nigeria, is practically laughable.
@@hawthorne3889😂😂😂😂😂
We were told in Lagos that tomato crop failed a few weeks ago! The prices are outrageous (triple the price). See the Sea of tomatoes. Someone is running a racket
The prices are up everywhere for both tomatoesand big red peppers. Even here in Abuja, the prices are pretty high. The minimum price is like 500 naira for about 10-15 pieces of tomatoes.
"Tomato Jos" is our "Fine Wine"😂😂
David, you dey try!!
All these un- and under-employed Nigerians can explore these lucrative business opportunities!!!
No need to risk death in Libya or Mediterranean Sea.
Gbam!!!.
Very true 👍
if nigeria roads were good, safe, security light on highways... i go get confirm trucks with refrigerators from Netherland, then myself return to nigeria and buy and sell tomato in major southern states... god see opportunity. Africa sha is the future. and dont be suprise most vegetables there are organics ooo
This is will awesome Brother. Truck with refrigerators. Wow
Nigeria need road Infrastructure. Good Road and Rail Transportation system. Nigeria is a Land of opportunity.
All over Africa need a proper infrastructure network connecting each other for easy trade and tourism.
@@TheTruthSpeakerTV I agree with you.
Those tomatoes should not be left under the sun. If left under the sun it ripens quickly. It needs a cooler environment and possibly packaging in cardbox boxes helps. Dousing with cold water also helps
What Africans need is just the government to understand where to invest, refrigerators to support fresh food to other countries , railways, free markets,
They have started tomato canning factories in both Plateau and Kaduna states but because of sectarian violence and now banditry those operations shut down.
Nasiru Sani is a good speaker. He speaks with enough volume and speaks clearly. He expresses himself well. 👏
I really love your content! You are showing us Nigeria. A lot of us will never get to see Nigeria like you are showing, thank you!
Thanks for watching
These Nigerian young men are admirable very industrious and enterprising A program that should encourage other young men looking for short cut to success Bravo David Nkwa
Another great video from a patriotic Nigerian. Nigerian ministry of culture and tourism should invest in your projects because you show case the country and this video is very good for business. It will add value to Nigerians. Good roads and stable electricity is extremely important for commerce and industry in Nigeria. The rural economy will benefits greatly if the government watch this video and learn about the challenges of the citizens and how best to help these hardworking citizens. The money embezzled by this ne state governor alone will solve the problems of these guys across 4 local governments at least. God bless you brother. God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬♥️✊🏽
@Alvanalvino....well articulated!!! Much respect!
@@MrUkaoma Thank you very much! ♥️✊🏽
Great country! Great people! So blessed; but for the vultures and devourers in power! Pity.
The Okra guy speaks very well, I love the way he explained it...
That guy is a graduate, oh
Hardworking farmers and bountiful harvest. The value chain will expand if these agricultural products are processed and packaged/canned. Lots of wastage due to long haulage and logistics issues.
Someone can move to the farms with their mobile grinding machines and jet cookers, grind it and cook to concentrate, pour vegetable oil on top, and then supply to the markets in the south or far north. We used to buy cheap during harvest and preserve our tomatoes all year round.
Very educational video even with the market chairman giving info. About the market 👏🏿👏🏿
To preserve okra you need a refrigerator or an ice cooler bucket with ice
I came to clap 👏 for ..... the second speaker that just finished his service year and the second speaker(did he say Salib Nibu?)🤔 or what? Yowa.....they're both good speakers I'd say (i guess he's not as educated as d other). Those baskets 🍅 he said the sale for about 3 to 4k is above 30k in Benin City currently 😳.....well, I blame it on bad road, insecurities on the road and high cost of fuel.
This is a very interesting video. I like how you are promoting these people's business 👏 👏
I like to see young people being enterprising and not causing nuisance on the streets👏👏
Once again, great content. The problem with these types of markets in Nigeria is that they remain informal, local, and rudimentary. Dawanau grains market, Benue yam market, the potato market in Jos and this one are major commodity markets that should be modernized. By the way, I love love love and love how you are promoting these young men. That is what is all about. 💪🏾
Thank you Sir
Please where is the location of Dawanau market?
@@olulawj4962 Kano. David made a video about the market
Please where is damanau
@@RandomMZ1412 thanks for the reply
Thank you for bringing back the memories of Faringada ❤❤❤ Gracias
I very happy to see young people, utilizing their strength instead of sitting down bring lazy if you don’t work you un able to sustain your self and your families.
This tomato’s and potatoes farms are reaping all these will happen to all these tomatoes, potatoes and all these other ground products. If they don’t sell They use the tomatoes to make sauces the potatoes to make many natures things like potatoes chips power potatoes instead of wasting them to help feed their country. Look how Nigeria 🇳🇬 is so rich in these rich products all natural why don’t the government don’t help and support them to export their products into the North America 🇺🇸 market. Because their products is more natural than all these things that is coming from China. Because the North American believe only China alone can produce these product. If the government helps these young farmers it can help them to get out of poverty and give them sustainability to help build the country for the future generations. Keep striving
North Americans do not only believe that China can produce. The big businesses and governments keep buying from China. Not us. We would love to support Africa but most of these type of vendors do not ship produce to us. What can we do? 😢😮💨
In Edo state the price of tomatoes na sky rocket, men dis na good level to make easy cash 4 edo state.
I’m a northern Nigerian but grew up in in london, I enjoyed this so much I even subscribed to your channel, I listened to so many negative things people say about northern nigeria and coming from an igbo person putting this amazing video together I really appreciate you brother! I’m a payment consultant and I really do intend to invest in the financial sector within the business industries in Nigeria especially within those rural areas. This video really inspired me and gave me hope! Thank you 🙏
Am glad this video helps. Looking forward to your innovative solution in Nigeria
Warm regards
Is very cheap there, after exporting it to the south. It will be sold for 25k for a basket or more than that. As we speak 4 seeds of tomatoes is sold for 200 naira.
ordinary Nigerians are hard working people unlike some of these drug dealers here in Italy and South africa who keep on turnishing the name of this great country
you people are hating on Tiktok,Twitter,CZcams and Facebook soon you will start hating on Telegram
There are more drug dealers and drug users in SA than any African country... South Africans are being arrested everyday for drug related crimes all over the world , few months ago 3 south Africans air hostess were caught with drugs in Hong Kong.. from car hijacking, and other gun violence ,SA is a bad example... Stop your hypocrisy in KZN 1 in every 4 farms are used by drug producers , there are drug manufacturer worth billions of rands that are being busted all over South every time Africa, owns by local south Africans
In everything is good and bad it's the balance of life
It's because the South Africans patronise them that's why they are there. Where there is demand there is supply, simple and short. ❤❤
@@storyteller6777 non odio i nigeriani ma nella mia italia ce ne sono una manciata che fanno cose cattive voi neri non farete mai progressi finché non vi renderete conto l'un l'altro
This is a beautiful and educative Documentary 🔥🔥🔥
Nice video. For the okra, it can be dried and make into a powder which can be used in soups. This is done in other parts of Africa. The government need to improve infrastructures. There is a lot of wastage.
Pls correct this title Plateau state is Middle-belt Nigeria or Central Nigeria not Northern Nigeria
The classification of Plateau State as part of the north in Nigeria is a general categorization based on geographical, cultural, and administrative considerations. It's technically north central, since north, east, and south are determined by the existing division created by the Niger River, which Nigeria (the Niger Area) takes its name from.
Plateau State also has significant cultural and historical ties with the northern region of Nigeria. It is home to various ethnic groups, including the Berom, Afizere, Tarok, and others, which are predominantly found in northern Nigeria. These ethnic groups share linguistic, religious, and cultural similarities with the northern communities.

Great job Brov you’re a roll model and an icon. your Chanel is very educational .❤

Very good work David, the video contains a business/industry that can be considered. Some tin tomato companies in Nigeria import tomato paste for their produce, if a small tomato paste company is set up it can go a long way to feed the Tin tomato industry in Nigeria.
Good content. What is the name of this market in Jos. Thanks for bring this type of content.
David thank you for amazing work, showing how great and hard working nigerians are. The problem is that some of us are not good in pigeon English, so I couldn't hear the guy wearing a red t-shirt well
Ok

Farming & selling is hard work but they do it, admire their drive. Hope some ways to prevent fast spoilage come soon. Also, no ads showed during the video. Is that normal?

From what I see a few things are the problem here and a huge opportunity for investors.
1. Product preservation. If one can build some sort of cold room it’ll be a life saver and cash cow literally.
2. Easy logistics and access to transportation for their produce.
God bless Nigerians
Hello David, what is the reasons for such tomatoes at Jos.
Seing this fresh tomatoes am diving to the kitchen to prepare tomatoes stew with cowleg
😆 🤣 😂 Please do.
dude cant they dry it and package it and export to diasporan africans abroad.. even northern nigeria we eat dry okro soup na.
true, but if there is market for it
You know what????? I want to thank you so very much for all your efforts. Do you Know that 4,000 thousand Nara is 10 dollars in American money. And I want for the universe to hurry to help others see it too. Kisses to you your a beautiful blessing dear sir. 💋
Thank you
@@DavidNkwa your so welcome
What Nigeria needs is agro processing technology for processing and preserving perishable cash crops. We can develop and mass produce solar refrigerators and sell at affordable rates to rural farmers. This will reduce post harvest losses. Things like ginger cam be dried and made into a powder.
I. Sierra Leone and Liberia, extra okras are sun dried, pounded and sold to cook other types of sauces.
Hello my brother watching your video from America. hard-working young farmers. Thank you for sharing agrincltural and the people that are selling it always enjoy your videos thank you for sharing.
Thank you very kindly
Nice video and analysis. Take note Plateau State JOS is CENTRAL NIGERIA not Northern Nigeria. You may use the popular MIDDLE BELT STATE instead. It’s good to address regions of the country with the appropriate regional name known and appreciated by its citizens. Keep it up!.
😂😂😂 so jos is not North????
@@hadizamohammed2443 NO it is not
plateau State Is NORTH CENTRAL, Keep your Middle belt to yourself
The classification of Plateau State as part of the north in Nigeria is a general categorization based on geographical, cultural, and administrative considerations. We have so many capable entrepreneurs. It’s a shame the government doesn’t invest in the Nigerian population just take advantage.
Well done, thank you for this. Please can you share the number for that young man that sends ginger and zobo to buyers
Am watching from Dubai, your content is amazing sir I love it. I wish there can be a way to build fruit chiller to preserve these fruits, is very common here for chilling of fruits. I would have like to have the contact of the market head you interviewed.
its on the video
These products that’s coming from other countries is better qualities and less questionable. Because thing from china is not good quality because it’s all about profit than anything else. However, it comes down to protocol and free trade that is sending cheap goods into the world market. When you see something some some people are wearing and ask where you purchased it they said China it look very different why they purchase it there. And what they send into the North American around the world market is cheaply made and flooded the world.
Thanks
Thanks for the support
Okra can be dried
very difficult to see dried okra, people like it fresh..
They could dry it and cook something for people to taste at the market to persuade those who’ve only had it fresh.
Sapodilla gyals from the West Indies r sweet like de fruit. Lol, back in de day.
In other to preserve the tomatoes they can just slice the tomatoes in half, put salt on it, ans let it dry under the sun for 10 days. That is how italian grand mas do. So simple! They can also can it and then pasteurize it. It is not a complicated technology. Its just lack of information !
Hi
Plateau Sate is Middle Belt, not North!
Really so i am no longer a northerner 🤔
It is affordable
