About how long does it take after hitting the "Start" button, until it is running locally? Mine has been sitting on a prompt for about an hour with the "Started" arrow rolling around (indicating that it is still going) for about an hour now.

Hey i tested out photomaker with pinokio from this tutorial and have been impressed
However i need to uninstall and move to another device for a fresh install since its taking up too much space on the test computer
Is there a way to do a complete uninstall including all the auto installed software and permissions? Im using a mac
next step, hopefully, compressed files so that the general public can use it. That is a lot space needed!!
I've used the web version for websites. Recently doing a bunch of campaign sites. Able to generate images in all sorts of poses and situations.
Which one are you using? Do they generate the character not looking into the camera? With consistency in face and clothes?
@@T3Rmin4LCuRi0siTy No. Huggingface Photomaker. It keeps the face pretty similar to the reference image(s) but not posed consistently. You can prompt like any other IG so the person can be 'placed into situations' with descriptions. You do have to deal with speed and availability.

Pinokio is not really a one click install, see it more like steam.. it is a interface that makes it easier to install the AI programs but it still needs to do all the downloads and installs you normally have to do.
Some of these Pinokio sub-apps have outdated code that requires specific pytorch libraries that don't exist, and I don't know why. I guess maybe having one app for all open source AI isn't as efficient or practical as you think.

Hi Matt please help I am installed perfectly the photo maker, and it's start perfectly until I try to use, I uploaded the image of myself then click submit, and always error message around 20sec.

Installing photomaker I had to cancell when I noticed I was runing out of space, my question no, how to remove it the right way to recover almost 20gb that I really need. How long did it take for your images to be generated?
My computer is the one Fred Flintsone traded in to get a new model. The little creature running on the wheel that powered the clock sync died long ago. So I don't think I'm going to be able to do it.

Same, i have 16 photo’s uploaded of me in every position but the output on any prompt is not even close as how I look.
Man, so frustrating as I was SO pumped for this... downloaded and followed the sites Mac instructions but the icon in my downloads when dragged into Applications had a circle with a line through it so no matter what I tried I couldn't finish the installation (looked like a security issue my Macbook Pro detecting) ANYONE else solve this issue??

You could wait however long for that, or you could wait no time at all by going to the app's website, provided in the video description, which provides the very information you're wanting. You seem to have decent grammar, so I'm guessing you know how to read.
Like he said, it would take hundreds of GB to download just a few let alone all of them. So I doubt he’ll be doing that. There’s probably a subreddit you an check for reviews and examples of the better AIs

I find that InstantId is way better than photo maker. Photo maker doesn't quite understand my face, just looks like some random black guy. But InstantID results actually look like me
I've been waiting for like 20min still this AI didn't generated any photo for me. I even copied your prompt which was very simple but still it's more than 500sec and it's still loading.😢
Can you choose where to install all the a.i. tools using this program?
It just makes sub-folders like:
D:\ai\apps\Pinokio\api\photomaker.git\
D:\ai\apps\Pinokio\api\magnet.git\
So be sure you don't put it in like:
c:\windows\users\bobby-swertymanjensonheimer-is-number-one\desktop\my-stuff\cool-stuff\creative\artwork\2024\AI\AI-images\AI-creationArt\Pinokio\
or else when it creates sub-folders and files, it make exceed the maximum length allowed and end up crashing/failing because it can't create a longer path/file.
@@FusionDeveloper I'm trying one program to download. Yet it's saying there are certain things not installed even though they are installed like: GIT, zip and so on. It's also saying conda needs to be installed but I don't want it installed.

Hi Matt, like you videos, I installed the app from Pinokia without a problem, unfortunately it did not recognise my AMD RX580 which has 8G video memory. OK you win some and lose some.

It all installed great but the pics look nothing like me....like at all. I've tried one pic, 2 pics, 40 pics, just get completely random dudes about my age.
Anyone else have it just keep counting up time and never do anything?
I set it to 20 steps, 1 image.
I gave up after 7,905 seconds, which is 131.75 minutes which is (2 hours 11 minutes)
On 4060 everything is fine. It just takes ages, 15 mins here.
That’s insane! Something must not be right very sorry to hear that… I usually get an image in around 2 min
check the console on what it is stuck on.. my bet it is might be trying to download a model but you are out of space or your internet connection is not fast enough.
if your download is 7 KB/s than a 13GB model can take a good few hours no matter how powerful your pc is

I have a 6TB hard drive dedicated just for AI stuff.
Using Pinokio, the information in the "console" might be omitting things, I'm not sure.
I looked on a forum and someone claimed you need 15GB of VRAM to run it and I have 11GB VRAM.
I have the setting to use my 64GB of system ram if it runs out of VRAM.
I might try a "normal" github install and see what happens, but if that one claim is right, it's not really going to run if it has to use at least 4GB of system RAM in place of VRAM because that might take 1-10 days to render 1 image (just a wild guess, no honest idea really).
The reason I have it set to use System Ram if it runs out because if I don't, if AI needs like 1mb extra, instead of crashing, it will borrow it from system RAM, but I don't try to intentionally use things higher than 11GB VRAM.
Eset restricts access to pinokio webpage saying it might contain harmful content.
Eset and every other paid antivirus suite is malware on its own.. don’t waste your money on them.
get a router with a buildin firewall and stick to the build in windows defender..

Man due to lack of GPU power I am starting lack the interest in AI. My Nvidia GT 1030 stands no chance. Bought a new RX580 and built a new machine on a very tight budget. The gpu fans stopped running for some strange reason.

how is not not knowing that related to face swapping not being for you?
@@renzocheesman6844as in, the person likely does not have enough VRAM to run the program, since typically those who have a high amount of VRAM are those who actively seek it out when buying a computer/parts.

InstantID is better that Photomaker imo
On Nvidia 4060 it takes 15 mins (!!!) to render just 1 pic.

Installed succesfully on the PopOS 22.04 LTS with RTX 3080 followed every step but after all that downloading + installing.... I've ended up with nothing but "Error" instead of the result image (tried provided examples too) & in the Pinokio's Terminal: Start inference... Traceback (most recent call last):

Gave Photomaker a go but the results still look quite "plasticky" and fake, not real or photographic. More like hyper-real illustrations than true photos.
