  • In this video, I show you how I made a cheap wheel truing stand using bits of scrap material. A truing stand is needed to hold a bike wheel securely to allow you to tighten the spokes and set or adjust the truing of the wheel.
I needed a truing stand as I am building up a wheel for my tilting recumbent velomobile project.

Really clever design. I especially like the use of the Workmate to adjust width. Thank You 🙏 ……. Cheers 👍👍😎👍👍

What an ingenius idea to rely on a workmate for the arms movement and support.
Simple but very precise and efficient.

I was in fact thinking about building one myself, but using a scrap bike frame for the support

Why does the aluminiun axle holders need to be adjustable? The huge slot in the work stand will handle any size wheel.

Cheap truing stand - an old fork/frame.
