    Steffen, you have literally given me a preview of the work my 1972 Mustang requires. As I stated in my comments in your trunk floor video, THANKS!!!!

      @@SteffsGarage Great cars, horrible rust buckets. I owned two of these, a 71 Boss 351 and a 73 Mach 1 back in the 70's. They rusted before your eyes back then!! Lousy foreign steel and even worse primers and paint.

    You need the Battery apron support to weld in with the right front apron!!! From the factory the battery apron support lower flange welds in between the frame rail flange and the apron.

      Thank you very much. Working on part two now along with this roadtrip where I went and found a 73 Ram Air Mustang complete car for $350. Totally rotten car but a crazy trip.

    Going thru same shit with my 73. Dynacore make some of the better replacement panels. CJ Pony has good selection of parts and has some free shipping. No matter who's part it is it always takes a shit load of work to make it right

      I am part of a FB group that is dedicated to 71-73 mustangs and they have had the same experiences too. The aprons just don't sit against the firewall like the originals did. Thanks for the comment.

      Running into the same situation with the driverside rear apron on my 73 Mustang. Is there a quality part that I should pick?

      Thank you. It is much more rewarding knowing your actually done when it’s over versus thinking you cut corners and are going to be doing it over again later.

    Awesome video, and awesome music, but maybe make the music a tad quieter, it's sometimes hard to hear you speaking, and the "boing" type noises are a bit over done for my tastes, but overall very good.

      Thank you for the constructive criticism. I will definitely adjust the future videos. I have had to crank the music sometimes due to my music playing in the background while recording he footage.

      It's a rough job. Some last minute advice would be measure everything. I ended up having to slot my fender apron holes a little.

    What type of mig welder do you use?

    • @SteffsGarage
      @SteffsGarage  Před 3 lety

      I’m using a 15 year old Lincoln 100 nascar edition welder from Lowe’s. The first welder I ever bought and is still going.
