I love how Laura is so hands on and involved with the farm even with those girly finger nails.
You have a real treasure there Grant.
So very TRUE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know how she does it, I break nails all the time and they are not long at all.
@@norm-nas She could be stopping the camera, asking Grant to step in then he gets the bolt loose then they switch then she finishes up on camera and if they are great editors then it looks great. That is one way to do it but not the only way.
Happy Valentines day to Grant and Laura and thanks for letting us see your life and how you work so well together!
Farmer has to be the most demanding career on earth... and one of the most critical to our survival... farmers have to be mechanics, doctors, nurses, scientists, accountants, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, teachers, meteorologists and on and on... in addition, they have to know how to operate very large and dangerous equipment... at the same time, they have to have enormous patience (i.e. weather conditions) and, above all, a wonderful sense of humour... and none of this is possible without an enduring love of God... you won't find many atheists down on the farm... God bless you and thank you for bringing me these informative and interesting lessons... cheers!
That was so cute! I find myself watching some of these videos and thinking to myself “This is probably something I will not find interesting or even slightly understand.” But then, those beautiful green eyes have me hanging on every word, and totally enjoying the explanation of something that I would never have thought I’d not only find interesting, but even wanting more! 😂 You guys make any task seem like a fun couple’s project ❤️ love you! Grammy
I would have bought new as well. You folks have many years ahead of you. I love your videos. Thanks
I look forward to every Laura Farms video. You two make the hard work of farming look so pleasant. Doing that is not easy! Quite the Genius if you ask me....
Thank you! Who knew that the process of grain removal could be so informaative as well as entertaining? I've been following your " Life on the Farm" for several years now. Love it. Stay safe and keep the vids coming......😍
I love your videos! I stop whatever I'm doing and sit down to watch. Can't wait to see the planting madness start again. Happy Valentines to both you and Grant. It's so nice to see people in love. 💕
I wonder if you'll get 17 years out of the new Gear Box. Thank you, for all the Videos on Farming and Farm life and how important what you and Grant do is. Laura ,your a great Teacher.
Nah the new one will last 3-4 years
Glad you got the auger up and running! Have a Happy Valentine’s Day Grant and Laura!
This is a great video, thanks. It's very nice to see the operation of the augur at the end.
I watch 10th gen dairyman and he carefully considers the moisture content of harvested grains before transfer to a silo or bunker. They will take actions to dry them in the field if the water content is too high. They don't have drying equipment such as the machine between your silos, and I would assume it wouldn't be financially beneficial for them to buy the equipment due to the size of their operation.
Happy Valentines day Laura and Grant. It is always something with something that moves. If that gearbox lasted seventeen years it doesn't owe you anything!
Happy Valentines Day! Watch out for that Never Seize, a little dab of that stuff will paint the world. Thanks for the tour of the bin system.
Love seeing y’all growing leaps and bounds and gaining more knowledge to where you can fix and repair all of your own equipment depending less on others. Y’all are doing great. 👏👍🙏😎✌️
FYI Be very careful using incandescent light fixtures in the bins, if the bulb breaks could cause fire! I’d recommend led not as big of fire hazard!😉👍👌
Grant don’t forget to get Laura a super awesome Valentines. Day gift. I can’t speak for all of your CZcams viewership . But if you do a lot of us will kick your butt. Happy Valentine day to the both of you
Thanks for sharing the information with us!! Awesome job on this piece of work!! Good to get it all ready for the next season!!
Never seen that before , but I am sure glad that you both shared it with us!!
C ya on the next video !
👍🐺🧙♂️🦊👍
Very interesting to see the internal workings of a corn/grain silo. Replacing the gearbox reminded me of my days as a mechanic. The worm gear could be a very dangerous piece of equipment if not handled with care. Thanks for the video and Happy Valentine’s Day to the both of you.
Great explanation of how the grain system works! Also nice to see a big Brock bin that's manufactured just a few miles from my house. 🙂
Great video Laura and Grant
Happy Valentines Day Laura and Grant. I really love how Laura is able to explain everything to us in a way for those of us who have never seen this before can easily understand. I love how Laura is always knee deep in all of the maintenance and operations of all aspects of the farm. I never knew how complex the silo systems are and just how huge they are. Thank you, Laura and Grant, for showing us another new and awesome piece of machinery.
Y’all are awesome thanks for the sweet video
Interesting information! Thanks for sharing!
Great to see a great couple working together?
I love it.
Keep going.
I'm learning English from you.
Happy valentines to all ❤️♥️💕🌹🌹🌹🌹
I guess to all who have someone to be with lol
You explain things thoroughly ...that's great! You guys again make a good team!
Good job! You two are like rreeaal farmers! Nicely done. Seriously, there's so much to learn
Great job installing the gearbox Laura and Grant
So Cool That You Two Can Work Together Each Day Nothing Better Than Spending Each Day With The One You Love!!
Keep Smiling On!!
😀👍👊❤
GREAT VIDEO.ITS FUN TO LEARN ABOUT THE DIFFERENT EQUIPMENT AND HOW IT WORKS.THANK YOU.
I always love following up the sweep, instead of the guy that standing in the rain
Thank you and Grant for sharing your days with us...I learn something new each time...
Happy Valentine's day ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I've seen many grain bins and noticed all the piping, but I've never been inside one to see how it actually works. Thanks!!!
I highly recommend the Milwaukee M18 2361-20 LED light --- It lasts for hours and puts out a lot of light.
Been a lot of lives lives lost in those bins!!
Another maintenance video, it is good that winter gives you the time to get everything in working order for the new season.
Love from Mike. ❤
Just proves that Farming is a Year-long job and not just during planting and harvest -times!!! Great explanations!!
Right outta hs I worked for a contractor who was pushing small grain bin houses as an economical alternative to stick-built homes. He built a model home next to the shop. Was it pretty nice? Yup. Did anybody buy them? Nope. Them houses done bin canned.
Happy Valentine's Day Laura & Grant!
I always love your video I mostly love the echoing sounds inside the grain bin. Happy Valentine's day Laure I hope you and Grain enjoy it GOD bless!
Glad to see both of you working together. 👩❤️👨
Laura, you are just outstanding. I am retired now but sold farm equipment and grain handling systems for many years. We used a company called Sukup from Iowa for many of our projects. Are they still around ?
I have always felt that the Grain Bin Site is a Tornado target! Just wanted to check out what the Farming Fox is doing today! Good choice to buy a new sweep motor.
Don't blame you! Who wants step on( boot kernels) /now for the one legged farmer dance!
Nice teamwork. I know a couple that bought a smaller cilo and made a 3 bedroom house out of it.
Thanks for your hard work 👍
This is hard work but you guys got it done. It's really informative. Excellent presentation in this video.
Great video!
Happy Valentines day Laura and Grant usually doesn't go that easy have a great day you two are fantastic can't wait for next video.
I enjoy watching this type of content the most on your channel. Its part that people don't get to see and grant you work so well together
Gotta love Never Seize lol. It’s impossible to not get it on yourself. I think it’s an alien life form in disguise. Fun vid. Thanks guys.
That was really neat 😃. Thanks for sharing
Very cool
I just learned how that work! Thanks teachers🤗
Happy Valentine’s Day to you both. Keep up the great videos!
Love your channel and your thoughts!
Thanks...I had no idea.....
Safety first. Nice Job.
Great video and I always wondered how it was getting to the truck and God bless from GA and stay safe 🙏
Pozdrav ljudi. Bilo vas je ljepo vidjeti.
You are doing Great - for systems that are not easily accessed (most of the year) putting in 'NEW' is best. Great Work.. Lock & Load
Be sure to double check your tightened bolts (Torqued to spec)
Did you do your Lock-Out/Tag-Out first? Never Seize never seizes to get all over you.
The thing that scared me the most in my millwright career was augers. Double lock those out. Maybe even take the drive belt off. Never-Seez is a mechanics best friend.
Have you seen the new laser deweed system? No chemicals. It runs by itself and zaps weeds. Pretty cool
Happy Valentine's Day!
Laura & Grant Team Work Makes The Dream Work!!! Good Job Guys! Laura I thought your weren't putting the anti-seize wrong, because you didn't have any on yourself! Your not doing it right unless its getting all over!!! LOL!!!
I was hoping to find a video on changing out a grain bin gearbox.....and low and behold you two came through with the "W". NICE!
With each video in amazed at all the equipment it takes to run this sophisticated operation!
Happy Valentine's Day from Beth and I you guys do work so well together that was cool there's a pigeon in your grain bin he'll never go hungry as long as he's in there blessings from Martinsville Indiana
Very informative video. Thank you.
Great job explaining
Happy Valentine's Day to both of y'all
Good job.
Nice pigeon call, not sure about the whistle 🤔 awesome Laura/grant 👌
Bonjout Laura et Grant super video bon courage a vous deux bonne semaine
thank you
Very cool. Always wondered how that all worked.
Happy Valentines day to Grant and Laura
Very Cool and love the Teamwork!!!!
I was wondering when you were going to dump the corn out of your boots. 😁 I used to live on a farm so I know a few things. My dad rented a small house from the farm family that lived there. We didn't farm but the farm owners were happy to answer questions plus when I was a kid My dad said to help their kids so I had to help with some of the cleanup so I saw the inside of those silos and stuff. My dad was U.S. Airforce. Sr. Chief Master Sgt. When he retired that was one grade down from the Pentagon by the time he retired and before they added the latest NCO rank. Like a Major General but for NCO's.
That’s neat ! Learned something new !
Watched this video thinking, wow you managed not to get any never seize on yourself. But nooooo..... the gift that always keeps on giving.
Interesting video. Laura you are becoming a farm mechanic. It’s good to see you get stuck into a job. As a couple you and Grant make a great team.
Another expert job by Laura farms technicians! 😄
Good job you guys! That job had to come with a high satisfaction rating!!!
happy valentine's day guys have great day
Happy Valentine's day to you both👋
I replaced those before. And it was a on a sunny 100 degree day. It was miserable. But we had to get it done.
A dad joke is an acceptable alternate opening😂
Awesome video Laura Farms and have a good day Laura.
Safety first, make sure the power is off to all your auger, and crop dust is flammable, some dust is down right explosive, great segment Laura and Grant, the A team at work.
Your video is amazing very nice awesome👍😊
@LauraFarms1 I already sent a message
Oh man that nasty never cease. Cannot get that stuff off Your fingers lol
I've never seen a vertical grain dryer! wow!
Pretty cool mr & mrs farms
I remember when we had to fix ours a couple years ago. Grandpa had to machine a replacement for that part that engages with the auger, but he made 2 because that was when he started to get Alzheimer’s
Happy Valentine's Day 💐
I miss your cute little piercing.
Hope u both are well really enjoying your videos very interesting I'm new subscriber I'm from Belfast Northern Ireland UK
Happy valentines day to you all
That's an even better place for a date than the tractor at the coffee drive through!
