Another really clearly explained video 👍. I have just secured my first ‘proper’ mapping job and I am trying to gauge what the ideal resolution of map I should be aiming for. I understand it changes but not clear on how much impact between 0.7 in/px compared with, say 1.2 in/ px. This first job is for the business owner to have a large wall size photograph created that can be used to give a clear up to date map of the site. Any suggestions appreciated!

Looking at the graphics in this video of drone deploy it says that this particular flight is 17 minutes 56 seconds long 10 acres 247 images and 2 batteries. Does this mean that you can start and stop a flight to complete a large map. Another way of asking this question is can you map part of the property then land the drone and replace the battery and continue mapping from that point?
The app detects the battery level, returns and lands the drone automatically for a battery change. Then you simply touch the popup window that says “Continue”. It takes off and picks up where it left off automatically. Dont try to restart the project or the app or youll have to start the grid all over.

...but don't trust droneDeploy or any other app with your aircraft. If the battery level is getting low, based on your experience it's too low then you need to bring it back and land it. I have had the experience where droneDeploy didn't bring it back. It was over a safe area so I didn't interfere but it kept flying until autoland kicked in. Don't trust it!

@@smallerthanagrainofsand9008 Drone Deploy has different subscription levels including a full version free trial. Be aware that selling Ortho maps without a surveyors license is a felony in some States. The details are in the statutes. Most surveyors now have their own drones.
So how do you get paid?
