I met a man from Bray. I asked him "what would you do if you won the Lotto?" and without hesitation he said "I'd buy a huge bomb and blow up Bray" and I said "but then you'd kill all your friends and family" and without hesitation he said "yeah." That was in 2014. He still lives in Bray now.
Peter once let me be in one of his Facebook livestrsams when I went in to collect my pizza. It's still the greatest honour that has ever been bestowed upon me
Just found this channel and knew in my heart that there'd be a Bray video somewhere. My wonderful partner proposed to me on top of Bray Head this November, so we are now spiritually bonded to the location although we're from Scotland. Thank you for these videos and the fine work you do teaching the world about Ireland. Namaste 🙏
One of the most succinct and accurate descriptions of Bray I have ever heard. I think you may have overlooked a key question though; is Little Bray actually Bray, or is it a the liminal zone, "betwixt and between", South Dublin and Wicklow? You might want to consider researching the rapidly emerging quantum "tech-hipster" producing field that has seemingly enveloped Ringsend. As an almost lifelong local, the transformation from Ray Town to Silicon Dock has been an interesting phenomenon to observe. Despite name-changes Irishtown House (FKA Seapoint House) has managed to remain one relatively unscathed stronghold throughout this whole process - but whatever happened to Mr. Pussy? But, maybe that's because it is Irishtown (and is that really Ringsend?). There are many mysteries to be unravelled... Namaste.
Did you know that your content usually doesn't link to itself, but to charming documentaries on Irish settlements you are discussing, its very fun watching these, then watching a charming film on that town by some local council or enthusiastic historians, and then back to this, its like seeing the seedy underbelly first, then the town approved version, then rewatching your video with what i now know, and to think i wandered on here because i kept trying to try the crime wine of Buckfast in Iceland (The country, not the store) and the endless searching eventually turned the algorithm to you, explaining why i ABSOLUTELY need to get my hands on six bottles of Buckfast and go see the priceless art of sister Concepta Lynch in the Oratory Chapel of the Dominican Convent, which are just *beautiful*, they capture the other side of Irishness perfectly, much like you capture the side of getting shitfaced in local haunts and then eating a spicebags and drinking Buckfast.
Koo is all for the Dunnes staff in Cornelscourt that live in Bray to get hammered on the weekends spending their weeks wage on jagerbombs and vodka red bull.
Please do the shite little town of Blessington stuck in a perpetual Identity crisis of having too many fella's thinking they are from the north-side whilst Simultaneously having loads of people from Tallaght who moved here thinking it was the countryside Namaste
You missed a key venue in star amusements. Where the young lads in 90’s flecky tracksuits gather while their caps hover just above their heads. The Martello, and the holy redeemer are other talking points 🤣🤣

Who hasn’t went down to bray in the summer because their families broke and couldn’t afford an actual holiday?
Mad flashbacks now of 'the snake slide' in that little arcade place and eating sandy ice-cream. And the odd Magnum if we could afford one.
Jesus that’s harrowing. You’d be better off staying home
😂😂😂😂😂
