I feel like at this point WB is already screwed. No matter what they choose it’s gonna be an awkward film with or without Ezra. I personally think they should recast.
Realistically, there aren't any real options other than hoping it blows over. Miller is the lead of a $150M+ film, and plays multiple roles to boot, you can't just reshoot all his scenes unless you want to basically make the whole movie a second time. All they can do is hope it does well enough, then maybe recast next time if there's a sequel.
I think if Ezra is willing to get help. And that's a big "if", i think a public apology and him going to rehab and getting mental help would be viable. There is so much money already invested in him. And they still would have the option of saying "we tried to help him" if they did have to fire him.

Why was there a push for Ezra anyways? There is nothing about him that says Movie star. So what if he's playing the flash. Even without the scandal he is still the wrong choice for him.
Let's remember that number of people who know about this stuff by following news is small percentage of millions that are going to watch the movie, so doing anything is probably unprofitable
Literally 99% of people have wanted Grant Gustin from the beginning. Just shoot a 1 minute scene where Grant takes over as the Flash in this universe. Problem solved
If I was WB , make an ultimatum to Ezra. Check in to wherever he needs to go to get help (rehab, psychiatric, both) or The Flash will be shelved indefinitely. If he slips up and is in trouble between then and the films release, they will pull the release and delay again and re shoot whatever the cost with another actor, and sue Ezra for breach of contract (that they make him sign before checking into rehab). Unfortunately, I believe WB will do nothing and the Ezra issue will only get worse the more they turn a blind eye.
They could recast him for the end of the film, just change actors when he changes the timeline at the end of the film, the studio shows that they've actively done something and acted and they also don't have to reshoot an entire hundred plus million dollar movie. If they want to get fans on board hire the guy from the TV show, everyone liked them.
I would release the film but change the ending to a scene of Ezra running turning "too fast", turns to pure energy and we see the lightening strike a new Barry in a "fixed" world and recast that way I think in reality, they'll do nothing in hopes it dies down and quietly announce he's been in rehab
They cancelled Rey Fisher, they don't use Superman and telling everyone that they will probably change him with Supergirl, they had great star of universe and they cut it off to the ww84, bop, and PeAceMaker. @@encased3427 studios do it all the time, get over it, they had plenty of time to recast 2 years ago from the first incident but now his behavior can't be ignored the movie is botched, it's been that way for the longest time.
My guess is that if they were going to publicly fire him ahead of the movie it would have happened already. Rob is probably right that the studio might convince his management to get him get into rehab and have him do an apology tour. It all comes down to whether or not Ezra is willing to follow the PR crisis playbook.
Will Smith gets cancelled for something really dumb and minorly wrong but Ezra's stuff is even worse and looks like he will skate thru this crap says a lot about society, but we live in one so take that as you want to.
They'll announce he's seeking treatment for anger management and mental health and then hope everyone forgets and Ezra can reign it in for the next year.

You all are like a family and trust your opinions more than anyone. Happy you started from scratch and now finally getting your own studio. I am starting on trying to DJ. You're an inspiration.
I would do exactly what Rob said. That being said Warner Bros. will do nothing. Release the film and then if people are still talking about Ezra's "incidents" when the movie comes out they'll drop him. I also wouldn't expect to see him in any future Fantastic Beasts films
one year after this incident for release. yeah that what i think they will do they will stall the release long enough for us to stop caring and then release
you know this is kinda a new opportunity for WB, wonder woman is set to have one last movie, superman and batman are no more, cyborg and the flash are goners, they should take a break, regroup and start again in a few years and hopefully build a more cohesive group and universe
reshoots is probably the only option, they did it with army of the dead via netflix, but even with that, that character they re shot was a side character. Re shooting it, finding another to replace the main character sounds like a nightmare. Kind of feel bad for WB studio in this case.
I would simply wait and work on getting him help over the next year. It's not like Miller is some huge star and everyone is talking about what he did like Will Smith. Let it blow over.
What i would do, not cheap but if the film is basically "Flashpoint" just shoot an ending where flash returns from said flashpoint run and he takes off the helmet and is a new barry allen. that's all i got besides doing nothing until after the film is released.
You can either do a "Back to the Future" and higher someone else and reshoot the entire film with another actor. CGIing another actor in won't simply work for an entire film. Or they recast him after the films release. I don't think anything will actually happen, but I think they should recast after the release.
If Ezra gets help over the next 1year they could keep him. But if not, and if there's another incident they could replace him. But important to note that Ezra isn't a big star like Depp and I'd put money on the fact that general audiences have no idea what Ezra has gotten himself into, and WB could be counting on that too keep him in the role.
do a shoot with Grant Guston work in a transition to a new flash like just add a after credits or something the flash is a pretty easy character to change to a new one.
How about partial re-shoots where Ezra's Barry(s) die at some point in the movie and are replaced with another Barry Allen from another Earth to finish out the movie. Obviously they would have to edit the script.
It's more possible now because this flash movie deals with Flash point ...after flash point..another flash appears from another universe..and he will be new DCEU flash
I would sit down with Ezra and let him know that him being a part of the Flash world moving forward is contingent upon them receiving the proper mental care and treatment and issuing public statements addressing the incidents and acknowledging his own accountability. If that isn’t done within six months, he’s publicly fired.
That's a very different scenario though. They had shot some key scenes with Eric Stoltz as Marty McFly. They then replaced him with Michael J. Fox about halfway through production. The Flash has already wrapped principal shooting. They might just have to do a bunch of reshoots if they replace him.
That’s a bit different though for one the movie haddent finished when they did that and second that movie didn’t cost anywhere near what the flash cost to make
May not be a popular opinion, but I say give it to Grant Gustin. Have the final episode of The Flash coincide with the flash movie. If the Flash movie ends with him running in the speed force, have the CW Flash end with him going into the speed force and seeing Ezra Miller's Flash running and he catches up to him, touches him and then it ends. It will be similar to how the animated movie Justice League dark apokolips War ended. That way it can create the new time line. But I agree WB isn't gonna do nothing
I really would just want them to expand the Matt Reeves Batman universe like you don’t have to have a Justice League and crossovers but you could just have solo trilogies for a bunch of heroes and have small Easter eggs or cameos but keep them seperate It would be cool to have a Justice League but for me I never find it a necessity unlike the Avengers which I think are a big part of that universe whereas the heroes in the Justice League are big on their own
Simple but expensive fix for Flash movie. Stephen Trevor is a Flashpoint variant of the Flash. Chris Pine is the new Flash. Put a post credits scene or shoot a new scene and paint Chris Pine into the movie towards the end like they did in Snyder's zombie movie for Netflix
I think you can have the best of both worlds. This is clearly a multiverse movie that will end with a new timeline (Keaton as new Batman) so just reshoot the films ending with a a new actor in the reset timeline.
It's just sad for other people that are in the movie. This is supposed to be Ben Affleck's Final Send off as Batman, this was supposed to be Michael Keaton's return as Batman, this was supposed to be Sasha Calle's Film Debut, this was supposed be The Flash's first movie in live action from what I know. And now we might not even get it because Ezra Miller has an addiction that he needs to handle but won't
i could see maybe by the end, his appearance changes due to all the time travel and multiverse mumbojumbo. it wouldnt make the most amount of sense, but with how important this film and character is for what they have planned going forward, it could be the smartest option.
I think if it is 1 solo film, they run it, it's so close to release, the reshoots would take months EVEN if they can still use a lot of in suit scenes with CGI / face overlap. I think the reason they re-shoot is how much this film makes the new DCU and what level the flash was in it....if a lot and there are 3 upcoming films with Flash in, it is worth it long rung to get him out and start clean.
Final scene Barry returns from the speed force and removes his mask to reveal a new flash actor, “finally, everything is back to normal.”
Honestly and especially since these rumors of a Crisis on Infinite Earth movie being in the works…

Tickets to see the guys who attacked them is hella insult to injury and would be a bad idea
@@730jangofett I think it should be made after an apology and a good dialog of course.
After they make peace, I think it will be a nice gesture to be driven to a nice hotel, go to a movie premiere with a lot of actors and movie people and go to a party afterwards and practically be given a nice weekend for free.
They can also refuse the offer 🤷♂️
Why was there a push for Ezra anyways? There is nothing about him that says Movie star. So what if he's playing the flash. Even without the scandal he is still the wrong choice for him.
Wokeness, they need him for that
@@AndyMourat Thats the sad part cuz that's the real reason why people are sick of watching new movies.
At this point, he seems more like a Hollywood novelty than an actor. And no I'm not using pronouns I'm not even sure are genuine
Don't say literally and then 🧢. the flash was good for 2 seasons and it wasn't because of grant
They’ll lose money if they do that though it’s unlikely they would do something like that
They could recast him for the end of the film, just change actors when he changes the timeline at the end of the film, the studio shows that they've actively done something and acted and they also don't have to reshoot an entire hundred plus million dollar movie.
If they want to get fans on board hire the guy from the TV show, everyone liked them.
I like the way Rob see’s it. Get the guy the help he needs, and if/when he’s ready for a sincere apology, we should hear him out.
I would release the film but change the ending to a scene of Ezra running turning "too fast", turns to pure energy and we see the lightening strike a new Barry in a "fixed" world and recast that way
I think in reality, they'll do nothing in hopes it dies down and quietly announce he's been in rehab
Yes they can. Give it to Grant Gustin.
@@DuneLover1472 Sure it would. Retcon the show (if it's even canon) and show Grant as the true Flash.
I'm wondering how keaton feels about this bullshit with him coming back as BATMAN after 30 years!
😪
Public: We Need To Talk About Ezra
WB: We Don’t Talk About Ezra
They cancelled Rey Fisher, they don't use Superman and telling everyone that they will probably change him with Supergirl, they had great star of universe and they cut it off to the ww84, bop, and PeAceMaker. This company has made so many mistakes lately that replacing Ezra, even at the end of the film, will not be something as terrible as what they did before
Who wants Grant gustin to be the DCEU flash ?????
He's done it for too long.... it's tired...that show has gone down hill dramatically it's unwatchable now
@@theretrosavage no but for real that is true he seems to be tired ! I mean you an definitely see it on screen I don’t know if it’s just me but I can see it , in comparaison to season 1 to 4 ! But I was thinking if he accept it! It could open more doors for him like the series and movies is completely different and the CGI is way much better !

Use Grant Gustin
Grant is great as a television star. He doesn’t have what it takes to be a movie star.
@@yourbestbet3485 How do do you know?
Have you ever seen him in a movie? Maybe he might surprise you.
A lot of actors who are famous Award-winning actors and movie stars got their start on television.
@@yourbestbet3485 agree
Hire Grant!!!!
It's a Flashpoint movie. Pull a Matrix and replace the actor in the final scene and explain it as a manifestation of the Flashpoint...like Batflick suddenly disappearing
Scrap the whole movie, fire Ezra, sue him for everything he has, pay every crew member for their work and time, recast, new director, new story, rebuild from the ground up.
Cancel them all; Smith, Ezra, Depp, Amber, etc. Being famous is a privilege not a right.
These 25 minute videos would be 8 if Campea didn't repeat himself 5 times on every other sentence.
Grand Gustin has done more for live action DC than most actors in the DCEU
By being the flash in a show that was good for 2 seasons and awful for the rest?
Agreed
@@xarachne8473 no
They'll announce he's seeking treatment for anger management and mental health and then hope everyone forgets and Ezra can reign it in for the next year.
I really love you guys. I been a loyal follower since 2017 when John reviewed Justice League. I pretty much stopped watching other movie pundits. You all are like a family and trust your opinions more than anyone. Happy you started from scratch and now finally getting your own studio. I am starting on trying to DJ. You're an inspiration.
I think Affleck should bring ezra to the side and shed some light on how alcohol can take u down a bad path
“Everyone loves to forgive”
Yeah… someone hasn’t been paying attention to society lol
After The Flash movie comes out, just call up Grant Gustin to replace him for the future of the DCEU
Look how Rob talks about this and what should happen... Then go look how he talked about the slap. That's all I'm saying
Yup i know
what do you mean ? how is it different ?
Facts. White gonna unite no matter wrong or right.
@@PrimordialBeing360 agreed
Yeah double standards. Any normal person can tell what Ezra did is significantly worse.
“Ezra is a powder keg”
“And Riddler is the match”
do a shoot with Grant Guston work in a transition to a new flash like just add a after credits or something the flash is a pretty easy character to change to a new one.
Blame the Hawaiian bar for being homophobic towards Ezra
Imagine if they delay The Flash to 2024 to remove Ezra Miller from it
The first Back to the Future was made over again when they fired the first actor in Marty Mcfly role and they hired Michael J Fox.
It happened only at the beginning of filming though.
Not big on the whole multiverse thing honestly.
I really would just want them to expand the Matt Reeves Batman universe like you don’t have to have a Justice League and crossovers but you could just have solo trilogies for a bunch of heroes and have small Easter eggs or cameos but keep them seperate
It would be cool to have a Justice League but for me I never find it a necessity unlike the Avengers which I think are a big part of that universe whereas the heroes in the Justice League are big on their own
*In discussing the importance of the Avengers and the Justice League in their respective universes I’m referring to the comics not the films
Just replace him with CW flash Grant Gustin
Grant Gustin sucks as flash
Simple but expensive fix for Flash movie. Stephen Trevor is a Flashpoint variant of the Flash. Chris Pine is the new Flash. Put a post credits scene or shoot a new scene and paint Chris Pine into the movie towards the end like they did in Snyder's zombie movie for Netflix
I think you can have the best of both worlds. This is clearly a multiverse movie that will end with a new timeline (Keaton as new Batman) so just reshoot the films ending with a a new actor in the reset timeline.
I hate the inconsistency too, if you fire Depp fire Ezra. Do it after this movie and just recast for the future... But yeah nothing's going to happen.
New Warner Bros film: "We Need to Talk About Ezra"
I think if it is 1 solo film, they run it, it's so close to release, the reshoots would take months EVEN if they can still use a lot of in suit scenes with CGI / face overlap. I think the reason they re-shoot is how much this film makes the new DCU and what level the flash was in it....if a lot and there are 3 upcoming films with Flash in, it is worth it long rung to get him out and start clean.
Grant Gustin is almost done with flash tv so just move him to the big screen 👍
No he won’t be in the big screen. They don’t want shit TV acting
@@BaithNa You think Grant Gustin is a great actor? I have some pawnzee schemes to sell you then LMAO.
@MasterSwagKing Entertainment lmao, Grant can’t even land one big movie role to save his life. Ezra is a better actor than that CW bloke
