its almost season 17 and i still get hyped by this trailer. genuinely one of the best bungie has ever put out. This season was 8 seasons ago.
It's season 18, halfway through, and I still come back to this trailer every now and then. Such a great season during such a bad dlc, I hope Bungie brings back all the sundial weapons, they were so short-lived, only 9 months.

@Old Liquid I honestly just want the weapons back. I was just getting back into the game and I didn't know that you couldn't pull weapons from collections so now I don't have any line in the sand or perfect paradoxes from that season
yep me too dude, the story was pretty sick, it had some pretty unique new weapons, and that community event/puzzle, although not really the most fun, was memorable and impressive to complete

This is my favorite season in destiny 2 and I will forever get hyped by this
Looking back this was definitely my favorite season of all time. Great story, no boring power grind, dope armor, dope weapons, and the introduction of charge with light one of the coolest additions to Destiny in a long time. I miss Dawn so much man.
Same here. I’m just so glad a managed to get the Savior title and the Dawn seal. That truly was my favorite of all time season. The only thing I wished that they had of done was keep the Corridors of Time for a bit longer than they did. That is sure to make a comeback tho because we still have to receive the sword from saint and I’m pretty sure there will be a season focusing on our “Death”. Maybe even in Lightfall.

I remember the hype around this season. Veteran players even if they weren't mega into the lore knew of Saint 14 and new D2 players kept hearing about him and now all of us would resurrect this legend we've heard about since 2014.
So far nothing has beat this hype imo. Saint was just the perfect marketing character

This season was, and still is to me, one of the best season we've ever had in Destiny 2
Honestly, if we just got a dungeon set in the sundial to maybe kill the 4th sister or something and just not have worthy, this would have easily been the best season ever, I miss Dawn a lot, although beyond light and arrivals have been pretty sick as well.
sundial mini raid and vex mini raid in the garden mini gamemode was enjoyable don't know why they stop doing it and removed it

Hard to believe this is what I’d point to as the gold standard for what a season should contain. A unique, interesting activity with the ability to roll specific loot of what you want and with multiple unique locations that feel special. I’ve never been a big fan of the cabal, but I really did enjoy this season, and the vex offensive for that matter. I really would love to see that sort of stuff come back

I'm hoping based on the website where it shows the main portal being both past and present either that area is fractured in time, ie all times in patrol or a cycling patrol, ie we begin in past then present the next week then future then the white area variety.

@@hsmileyface8308 Honestly, I don't think Destiny was ever supposed to be a gigantic AAA release, at least not to the scale the trailers made it out to be. It seems to me that the game is finally finding its sense of scale again: a bunch of small to medium-sized releases hinting at greater conflicts, with some larger expansions to showcase these greater conflicts in action, and slowly building up to a massive apocalypse centered around our solar system. All we need is for Bungie to FOCUS themselves.

@@hsmileyface8308 Reread what I wrote. I never said it wasn't a AAA game: I said that it doesn't seem like it was meant to be.
Look at how the story unravels. Look at how it plays. Look at the original trailers shown to VIPs before Bungie signed with Activision. It's clear Bungie had a different view of how the game would play out before Activision pumped all that money into the hype machine (and before the internal shitshow that resulted in the mess of a game we got at launch). What I've seen from early interviews and trailers, the game was MUCH less grandiose in scale compared to things like Halo or CoD.

2 years later I still come back to watch this trailer. Absolutely magnificent.
I have to say through all the seasons I played this is the most amazing season I've ever played in Destiny 2. The three psion bosses you fight in the season were amazing with their own unique abilities. As well as time traveling to save a legend was amazing. And the Sundial activity, throughout all the seasons was my favorite activity to run. I hope they make a season as fun as this again and I can't wait to play beyond light.
