Guitars I have loved (and hated!)

- Some of the acoustic and classical guitars that have passed through my hands. The music is me playing one of my own tunes ,'Keep on moving,' on the Fame OM style guitar which I won in a song writing contest. It was 3rd prize and totally unplayable when I received it. The neck was bowed backwards so that the strings were touching the frets up to the 6th. A higher saddle, a few turns of the truss rod and a set of 13s and it is now quite nice.

Very satisfying music ! Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi John. Lovely to watch this. You should definitely try Taylor 😊
It would be nice to have your list in the comments.
So which one is best and why? To me a tuned down acoustic sounds good because it creates the jangly type sound. A thinline guitar like Fender would be a good idea for acoustic and Cordoba/Godin for classical sound. For electric it's strat, telecaster and ES-335 or Gretsch equivalent. I made John Mayer acoustic cover among many other artists/styles and genres.
With the exception of the White Fame and the Washburn Rover all these guitars have one thing in common, I sold them! The large number of guitars on this channel come from three sources. Pupil's guitars, friends guitars and those I bought, reviewed and then re-sold before repeating the process once more. Two of them irked me, the Simon &Partrick Trek and the Sigma classical. Both projected very well but I found it too much in close quarters. Painfully so with the Trek. The only one I regret selling is the very last guitar on the video, a Westfield JB30. At the time about 10 years ago I needed something bigger for church but now its smaller body would suit me.
What, no love for your self-made guitars? That one, I think you call it 'The Angelfish', is one of the most interesting guitars I've ever seen.
Most of the guitar photos I have are of guitars I have sold and the Angelfish is still lurking in a cupboard. Anyway it is good to see you are paying attention!
Is the sheet music available for Keep on Moving? BTW very interesting video, thanks.
Not as yet. While my manuscripting skills are sufficient for notating my hymns, this piece is in another league.
