- Tamiya with this new XV-02 did a great job, creating a true Rc Rally Chassis, that will help more and more people to get closer to this race category in an easy way.
Keep in my that during the comparasion I was driving my modified Tamiya XV-01 based on carbon plate.
I feel that's just the beginning for this chassis and that in the upcoming years we will seea lot of people using it on Rc Rally Stages.

Forgot to mention, that in the video I'm referring and showing the handling of my modified Tamiya XV-01, not a stock one
Here the video

the reason why the bottom of the chassis is not flat is because the corners of the chassis will rub on the ground if you are turning fast. the curved bottom if the chassis gives more ground clearance when turning
I enjoy your videos; thanks for the great information. I’m building the XV-02 right now and excited to test it out in the spring.
So I am now growing more and more curious about doing the upper deck direct steering mod. I need to find the right specs for the piece sizes etc.
O man, I thought you got one! I will stay working with the XV01 with you. Cool video we all like to see inside different cars. We can all learn from this!!
Thanks! Yes it's always cool to test new models
Great video! I’ve got both an XV-01(with embie chassis) and the XV-02, in the terrain I generally run on(rough off-road terrain) the additional clearance on the 02 helps a ton. One item I really like is the way they flipped the suspension mounts, nothing can get jammed under them and opens up for more clearance as well. Congrats again on the overall win!
Thank you!
Yes with XV-02 Tamiya did a great job, a lot of cool and useful details
Dario, have you tried LC Racing PTG2R? I have XV01 (3x, from almost stock to many hop ups, and different setups), XV02 Pro and RS, (both with center diff, RS also with sway bars)... besides some other lesser rally chassis. But my favorite is the LC Racing PTG2R. I'd be intersted to learn your opinion on what I think is the most underrated chassis, especially out of the box.
Hi, honestly I never saw any competitive driver using the PTG2R Chassis in Rc Rally.
So I can not say a lot about this chassis, in general the most common chassis for Rc are the ones with a specific weight distribution, with mid front engine position, or something as the Xray T3
Nice one 👍
How can I find that top plate for the servo?
very interesting presentation, is there a place to get more information on xv02 platform, for example regarding the modification of the direct link steering ?
embie racing is the guy that sells this kind of things, on my channel I'm still going to talk about this modifications👍
@@dariorcgarage that's great thanks
Ther is a sway bar you can fit for less roll
Ahoj, moc díky za přínosné video i když těžce bojuji s angličtinou. Chystám se postavit pro zábavu nějaké rally na tomto podvozku XV-02 PRO. Můžeš prosím doporučit vhodné combo a servo?
Ciao!
I hope that the transator did a Good Job so I can answer to your questions in the right way.
I would suggest you:
-Esc Hobbywing XR10 Justock G3
-Motor Hobbywing 17.5T G2.1
-Servo Sanwa 1274 MG
The servo it's placed on the upperdeck, this helps to have a direct steering system without many mechanical components, this upper deck it's mad by "EmbieRacing".

@@dariorcgarage moc děkuji. Petr
What length of dumper you use?
It depends by the surface, I use short Dampers on-road and long Dampers off-road(tamiya big bore aeration dampers)
Hi, what's motor use for the competition?
Ciao, 17.5T e 13.5T vanno più che bene
OK thanks, I'm thinking of using 13.5@@dariorcgarage
