- HAVING fun in the garden is what its all about for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
In these heart-warming snaps, the doting parents can be seen playing with children Charlotte, four, and Louis, one, on a rope swing as Kate unveils her Back to Nature garden, where their youngest son was seen taking his first steps.
In one picture, Wills, 36, is seen holding onto the tot as Louis takes a ride, while brave Charlotte goes it alone.
The Duke is also seen building a den with oldest son George, six, and sitting on a wooden bridge in the tranquil surroundings of the RHS Back to Nature Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show, West London, where the garden is located.
Kensington Palace said yesterday that over the past months Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have “helped The Duchess gather moss, leaves and twigs to help decorate” the garden.
They added: “Hazel sticks collected by the family were also used to make the garden’s den.”
The Duchess told the BBC in an interview with Monty Don: “I really feel that nature and being interactive outdoors has huge benefits on our physical and mental wellbeing, particularly for young children....

Princess Diana also used to take William and Harry on outings as well. I’m happy that William and his family are doing the same and not keeping them sheltered.

The Duchess of Cambridge is such a dignified lady. She is so solid in her views about life, in her role as mother to 3 very royal children and with her priorities. And, being beautiful doesn't hurt one bit! Lovely woman she truly is.

I was very poor as a child so I know how hard life is if you are destitute; my mum starved and we kids survived on bread and jam because my dad didn't want to pay any maintenance. A lot of today's social problems come from government "reforms" which have hit poor people very hard. Rather than lash out at the royal family, wouldn't it be better to write to MP's to try to get the rules changed and hardship eased. Not intending to be argumentative, it just seems that your clear social awareness and justifiable anger is pointing in the wrong direction. Sincerely, AB.
