The Princess of Wales launches Christmas Baby Banks initiative

- Our experiences, relationships and surroundings during early childhood lay foundations that shape the rest of our lives, and future society. Supporting parents and carers, who are doing their best to provide for their families in challenging circumstances is essential and can have a life-changing impact.
Baby Banks are warm, caring places for families to access equipment, products, clothes and toys to help relieve some of the stresses creating significant pressures on people caring for babies and young children.

Those children are so well behaved and polite, a credit to their parents. They get stuck in and Catherine explains what it's for and why it's important. It looks like they brought donations from home too. How worthwhile.
There will undoubtedly be a monetary donation too but this is never spoken about

What a wonderful mother teaching her children the value of giving back to others and recognizing those in need. There is not a greater gift than compassion for others, and while I am sure Catherine and William teach many private lessons on selflessness at home, it is good to see George, Charlotte and Louis in action. No doubt these children will live lives of service and respect for all.
Then they go home to their free food, clothes, holidays, living in opulance never worrying about where the next meal is coming from, what angels they really are, I hope that jumper is the right colour Kate is holding

This is what the late Princess of Wales used to do: bring the children with her, let them experience and make them understand. I'm so touched to see the Wales children there with Princess Catherine continuing this line of service and duty.

This is a great way for them to learn that they are special and privilaged and that there are kids who aren't that lucky . They brought the kids without fuzz in private and secret (as we are finding out about this a month later) . The kids get to be in a small but safe environment while they learn 😍😍😍😍😍

The RF do have great privilege and for that they are held to critique for every single tiny detail of their lives. Their children are bullied online by fools. The RF do contribute back to the UK Treasury to the tune of 2.2 billion pounds according to Forbes, all for the sun of 85 million pounds from the Sovereign Grant. Any charity they support brings a lot of donations in to help that charity. Look at Homewards, Look at Centrepoint, look at the Prince of Wales Trust, look at the charities regarding Childrens development. They do a lot for the UK. How much do you contribute to your community?

This is such a wonderful, caring video. Princess Catherine bringing her children to volunteer helping with the huge job of sorting of dividing the donations for families in need. Not only have they learned the positive lesson of volunteering, but more importantly, they are learning about the thousands of children and families who are struggling and will be so happy to receive this loving outpouring of support from their communities during the holidays. When they learn to serve when they are young the children grow to be empathic and compassionate and to look around outside themselves. Exactly. In my family, growing up, we as children were brought up to respect our elders. And with manners. If we forgot to say please or thank you, our father would say "What's the magic word" lol

A lovely and natural way to teach children to think of others and have fun in the process / that giving and caring is an enjoyable thing to do. And the princess of Wales driving them herself, no fanfare, no obtrusive security, no airs and graces.
What a simple message - to get out there and help, in any way! It is good to see the future royals learning how to help. In the US, we have a few organizations, one is Toy for Tots. Police Dept's , Fire Dept's all get involved, as do individuals to help out. There are many other organizations too: for single parents, for runaway teens, for the animals, and those in hospitals - so many ways to get involved - :)

Thank you for sharing this lovely video. It is so important for children to learn about volunteer work. I recall going to sing at local nursing homes and filling care packages for soldiers as a child. I'm in my 60s now, and still volunteering.
It is *so* lovely to see Princess Catherine bringing her children to work and showing them what volunteering and charity is all about. She explains each step to them, they listen beautifully to the other volunteers, and even little Prince Louis wants to come back to help. *That* is raising the next generation in a positive way.
As if I couldn't love her any more, Princess Catherine continues to shine a light on a rather dim world. Bravo for setting an example not only for her children, but those worldwide. HRH Catherine, Princess of Wales, is a gift to all humanity. Christmas greetings from America!

Growing up, my parents always had my brother and I help out at the holidays putting together food boxes, gifts and treats for families. I worked for a fire department, we adopted families and collected toys and brought Christmas gifts to families in our area. So wonderful and the best way to celebrate the season and help others out. Thank you to the Princess of Wales and her children for doing their part to support parents and families who need the extra help this Chirstmas season. And thank you for bringing back wonderful memories for me. Happy Christmas!
