Jason Alexander really nails the character change. You can clearly see two Georges in this clip. Incredible how his talent didnt get the awards it deserves.

By season 4 he and the writers really dialed in Kramer, and the show became a situational comedy and not a show about nothing. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

George always has two sides to himself: One side is hopelessly self conscious, constantly worried about what other people think. The other is so stupendously arrogant that he demands everyone else reshape themselves to his world.
The problem is he can't navigate the middle between those two extremes.

It is a shame that Jason Alexander never won an Emmy. He was unbelievable on Seinfeld.
To be fair, he was nominated several times, and just getting nominated is a great honor considering how many good shows and actors are out there. Just like the Oscars. Only one can win amongst lots of good ones.

My father was bald and wore a toupee but my mother was a hairdresser and took care of it for him. My father went on a trip with his friends of 30 years, he had too take off the toupee to sleep... his friends were SHOCKED TO SEE HIM WITH NO HAIR after so many years none of them ever knew!

She's a bit of a hypocrite. George "fixed" his baldness and his date didn't. Since women frequently judge men on hair content he had a legitimate beef.

I think Elaine was a little jealouse, not for liking George or anything like that, but for the fact that by fixing his hair problem he could moved a little up wile she will remain at the same level. Its crazy how this characters always try to keep each other down, but pretend to be good friends😮

Exactly. This scene is atrocious, one of the very few times I really disliked Seinfeld. The other was when Kramer bought a powerful shower and then took a shower with it.

3:11 I know George's new confidence spilled over into arrogance, but I've always hated how Elaine just couldn't see him happy, and tore the wig off his head. " _I_ don't like this" she screamed. It was about her. There was definite jealousy and Elaine _needing_ George to be less attractive/unhappy.

@@dannytallmage2409 The entire premise of Kramer is his life is pure fantasy. He gets lots of chicks, always has money, despite never working. Of course in real life, he wouldn't be able to pull this off.
George’s problem is that he was bald-ing; he never really went fully bald and embraced it. That’s why the hair was such a visual improvement here.
A shaved head looks better than a balding head but a full head of hair looks better than a shaved head. Sad but true.

Kramer and Seinfeld carried the show George and Elaine stood on the shoulders of giants. Those giants were Kramer and Jerry Seinfeld.
I found her annoying. It was George and Kramer+sometimes Nueman for me
I always disliked Elaine in that scene, she never should have ripped off his hair hat. But i guess she always got jealous when things were going good in georges life.
Without George, Im not sure Seinfeld would have lasted a season without getting canceled.
