Preparing for my first GoRuck Light Challenge

- Tomorrow (January 14th, 2018) will be my first GoRuck challenge. I am starting with the Light in Memphis, TN, and it is honoring Martin Luither King Day. In this video I discuss some of my thoughts about the event, the weather conditions I anticipate, and go over the gear I will be carrying for the event.

It was kinda what I thought it would be, but no water! I can only imagine that was an anomaly though... Made some new friends, saw some parts of Memphis I hadn't seen before, got a good workout in and just had a great, but challenging time! I would definitely suggest signing up for one if you haven't already... I am looking forward to my next event, which won't be til June... maybe I will get in a little better shape for that one though! :)
Looks fun...go ruck headquarters is just down the street from my house....one of these days I’ll give it a go.
That's so cool that it is so close to you. It was great getting to meet the 2 cadre that we had at our event. And the gear that I have from them is really some nice gear... A lot of fun. Can't wait for my Tough in June! :)
How'd you do???
We made it! There were 52 that signed up and 35 showed up (although 1 left even before roll call, so 34 finished)... which was pretty good I'd say given the cold, snow and ice covered grounds! It was an awesome experience and I'm glad I made it out though. Looking forward to doing another later this year! :)
