    Honestly I feel like Ford is falling off personally, the S650 could have been good but I feel like it's just slower all around than the S550 in GT form despite the horsepower advantage. I've seen so many videos of stock vs stock where the S550 just walks the S650 most times.

      Ford did what they've historically done with every generation. You have to wait for the refresh to get the updated engine. The engine in the gen 7 is damn near unchanged. This happened with the gen 6 in 2015, had to wait until 2018 to get the better performing car

    If the 2016 Mustang Gt is manual and modified to 460 hp, it has lower gears than 2018 to 2024 for gas mileage reasons, that's why it's faster. I have a bone stock 2016 Gt with manual and I'm going to cold air intake it and tune it to be at about 460 hp and 420 lbs of torque. The 2015 to 2017 Mustang Gts are golden, they don't tick and shift better in my opinion than the newer and are more reliable. Great job driving Sam.

    Interesting outcome. Owning a ‘15 GT myself, I’ve often wondered how much difference is there in speed and quickness. Pretty much, the ‘16 either beat the ‘24 outright or hung right with you with just a few inches to a couple feet behind. Both being manuals, this boils down to driver experience with each machine. The ‘24, having many more horses should (at least on paper) be faster. Personally, I don’t like the direct injection Ford added to the Coyote. Obviously it’s not a major advantage and IMHO will just build up more carbon making the new design run worse as it ages. Direct injection is fine but, I’d rather be blown LOL.

    I dislike roll races because they always have a margin of error of about half a car. It’s so difficult to line them up perfectly that one car is always slightly ahead before starting. In my opinion any roll race that’s within half a car or less is a tie.

    • @S8ER
      @S8ER Před 6 měsíci

      The best part about roll races is it becomes obvious who is making more power. I had a run with a Mustang GT a few nights ago where I started a few cars behind and I ended the race nearly beside him. I lost by all standards of a roll race but he was not interested in a rematch. 🙂
