You will usually need to visit the dentist for a check up and cleaning first if you haven’t been in a while. Once it’s verified that your are clean and ready for braces you can move forward with that part of the process. Getting the braces usually is just 1-2 visits for a consultation and then getting the braces on. Hope this helps answer your question 👍

Also, I may have gotten my wisdom teeth already (I think, because I usually count my teeth and now I have two more in the bottom row at the back) would it affect the prices of braces or would they get removed, or would they put braces on them too?
If you're 11 you probably still have your wisdom teeth (they usually come in around age 18) but you shouldn't need to worry about that. Comprehensive braces treatment is usually a set cost for the entire treatment, and that price will include the top and bottom teeth, as well as any molars that may grow in later on in treatment. I dont think that they are wisdom teeth, they are probably your teenage molars, if you count one of your parents teeth then you will see that they have more than you do, so that is what they probably are (i am also 11 and mine are growing in too)

Its hard to say for certain without seeing your teeth, but in most cases braces can open spaces for erupting teeth. I'm assuming this is the plan, but your orthodontist would be the best one to ask. Good luck with everything!

Just wanted to know if that's actually the case. Cause based on what you said braces may be installed at the age of 11. And as we know some of the roots of the teeth at that time are still incomplete. Does braces actually affect that?
There’s not much literature that shows that early tooth movement has a negative impact. By age 11 the roots are usually completed to the point that there is almost no risk. If a tooth is severely delayed in development it might be best to wait to move that tooth but this is generally not a problem.

Its a good idea to get a consultation at age 10. Not everyone will be ready at this age (Most are ready around 11-12) but there are definitely some kids that will need to get started by age 10
