A few months ago, I held a mainline-Mario themed GaMetal Discord (link below) Request Battle, where Buoy Base took the prize.
I thought it'd be fun to follow that up with another request battle featuring Wario, since Mario is always getting all of the attention. Plus, we are lacking in Wario songs (outside of the amazing Master of Disguise soundtrack) here on the channel.
Everyone voted for their most wanted Wario song in a qualifying round, and I then put the top 2 songs against each other in a final round of voting. It came down to Introducing Wario Deluxe and Hurry Up! (Wario Land 4), with Wario Deluxe barely edging out the victory with 51.2% of the vote.
Coincidentally, we also just got a new Wario game announcement! So it's almost like I'm doing a timed song release again. 😱

I love how Warioware is so insane that the citizens of Luxeville have a toilet that grants lightning powers when it’s worn like a crown, and pretty nobody, both in-universe and in real life, questions it because that’s pretty tame by Warioware standards.

Wario is an incredibly powerful immortal eldritch creature, but he never realizes his own power because he is too lazy and only cares about money
Let's not forget how he brainwashed Mario's friends into taking over a kingdom built to honor his achievements. he is a villain who possesses evil magic That is the reason why we were able to create a headgear in Mario and Wario that can only be removed by someone else, such as Luigi.

GaMetal is pretty much the _Gold_ standard for covers of videogame songs, his music just never fails to be absolutely phenomenal!!

Massive dub for the WarioWare fans getting their due with a full remix for the series at last! This turned out great! Here's hoping Wario Land gets a chance at the spotlight soon!
Finally, a new Wario cover! And only 250 days after the 30th anniversary of Wario’s debut! Well, better late than never, especially since a new WarioWare game has been announced!
Introducing Wario Deluxe is probably the best WarioWare song that doesn’t have lyrics, it truly feels like a “final boss” theme for a series that doesn’t really have “bosses” in a traditional sense. It’s epic yet wacky in a way that only WarioWare can pull off. It’s only fitting for when Wario somehow gains God-like powers from wearing that pot on his head.
This song wasn’t number 1 on my list of Wario songs I want covered by GaMetal, but it was up there! Also, apparently, this game didn’t sell that well, so hopefully this cover will help bring attention to this game and people will check it out, it’s great fun! 👍
(Still miss the Wario Land series, though. Thank goodness Pizza Tower and ANTONBLAST exist.)
All those minigames for a communal toilet. Oh well, at least Charles Martinet had the time of his life voicing Wario in the game. XD

After voting for this song back in the 2019 May Madness ballot, finally seeing it done now fills me with so much joy while also making me feel quite old.
The end card isn't a WarioWare reference, it's actually Jonny's popoff for the Super Mario RPG remake.
Way to drum up hype for Warioware Move It! I love how you gradually speed it up like in the games, it really sucks Gold came very late in the 3DS life when the Switch was already a thing, I don’t know how Nintendo would go about porting it either since some microgames require a dual screen, touchscreen, mic and rotating the 3DS sideways to play them.
It's a crime how underrated this theme is, genuinely one of the coolest final boss themes out there, specially given how dumb this game is.

I've wanted this one for years, pretty sure there's comments of me requesting it way back when this game was new. I've always really liked Wario Deluxe and his theme but there were never any remixes of it. I basically stopped caring and didn't think there was any other demand for Wario Deluxe until it turned up in the request battle. Thanks so much for this!!!
Also think it's real funny we ended up getting a new WarioWare reveal in between this song's confirmation and release, didn't expect one to turn up so soon since Get It Together was only like two years ago, but I'm excited for it.
One of my favorite tracks from the series. I love how intense the track is, how it gradually gets more manic it gets as the stage goes on and how Wario starts meddling with things mid way through. Great remix!

Man, this cover brings back memories of that last microgame in this boss fight. I genuinely don't know why it was so hard for me, I just wasn't very good at the time.
Ok after listening to this and the original multiple times over the last month I can say with confidence this is one of the best final boss themes to ever grace this earth

I actually saw Pomu stream this game a day before this cover. I really love how King Wario's theme is not interrupted by the microgames (Except for when it reaches the boss game), not to mention the part where you don't know which controls each game uses.

Such a massive failure, it was released on the end of the 3DS lifecycle when most people only cared for the Nintendo Switch, thankfully, the Switch WarioWare game sold enough for another one to be announced.
People, please play WarioWare Gold, it's one of the best in the series. And barely anyone acknowledges it

The teaser image looked like Jazz Jackrabbit... I've never owned a game of that series, but my uncle (from my mother's side) used to have one during the 90's, must have been the first one.

I would like to request 'Scrap and build ourselves' composed by Motoi Sakuraba, for Eternal Sonata. This theme uses Chopin's 'Revolutionary etude' as an inspiration. Eternal Sonata is one of the most interesting ideas I have seen in the videogame world, the game revolves around Chopin, one of the greatest Romantic composers of all time, his pieces are famous for being difficult, beautiful and quite awe inspiringf. To tell you the truth I one day was so obsessed with his music (torrent etude), that I decided to buy a guitar, so that I can one day play that with electric guitar. Motoi Sakuraba is my favorite Japanese composer, his compositions always evoke powerful emotions and in this final boss theme I request, he poured all of his skills, on top of the already excellent music by Chopin. If I get this I will be able to have the tri-force of my favorite musicians of all time: Motoi Sakuraba, Frederic Chopin and Jonny Atma in a single song. So, I shall relentlessly request it. On. Every. Video. Until. I. Get. It.
