Sir,
You mean to explain,
1- if gross income is 2.5 lakh ( before any exemption/Rebate on 87A) can only be eligible to submit form 15G for FD?
2- If GTI is less than 2.5 after all the deductions and Rebate u/s 87A is still not eligible to submit form 15G for FD?

Dont include 87A here
Before 87A and before any deductions your income corss 250000 then you are not eligible to submit form 15G
But people are doing the same

Sir, thanx for useful video. I want to know if i have 50000/- FDR for 2 years. On maturiry, I get 50000/- principal amount credit and Rs. 5000/- interest thereon. My form 26AS shows both the amount as income separately i. e. Interest income 5000/- and other income 50000/- which is principal amount of FD. Pl clarify whether i hv to pay income tax on principal amount of rs. . 50000/- also.

Sir, Ihave three queries 1) In everyone's AIS, the ITD is mentioning "Purchase of New FD" with details. The reply of thsi compliance is OPTIONAL. Please advice what the tax assessee is supposed to do in such case. This is because, most of the FDs are renewal of the matured FD Such transactions should not be classified as new FD. 2) If an assessee who has invested in "Tax Saving FD" dies before 5 years of taking such FD, then can his nominee claim the FD and interest amount. Kindly advice. 3) Does interest accrued on Tax Saving FD available as 80C deduction, like NSC interest ? Very useful vide. Thanks :)

Nationalised Bank do not leave penalty in such case . They treat as extension of FD Period and renew the FD with increased rate from the date of renewal .

Sir, in absence of pan, bank deducted @ 20% in previous years. In current year, pan is given and shown in 26AS . Now whether I can request bank to rectify 26 As for earlier years giving amount deducted, so that I can get refund if eligible. Thanks for your help.

And in ITR u no refund can be claimed

Sir mere pas 4 lack the. Mai usi amount ko FD me reinvest karta gaya aur AIS me 94 lack ka transactions bata raha hai. Kya ab muze ITR-U file karni chahiye. Mene pahle kabhi ITR nahi bhari. Meri income nahi hai. I am a student. Muze itni sari FDs pe only 6000 ka interest mila hai. No TDS has been deducted. To kya mai ab meri income na hote huye bhi 2.6 lack income dikha kar ITR-U file karta hun to kya ye thik rahega?
