  • Put Sprinco flat wire springs in a couple mags I was having feeding issues with. The improved the feeding but after few range trips issue returned. No fault of the springs as it was clearly a mag issue when suppressed. Will likely be trying these springs in other mags that do not have issues.

I love those mag sprincos I have them in a select group of mags I keep loaded up ready to rock and so far zero malfunctions.

They are definitely solid. You running them in GI mags or pmags?

What length gas system and barrel on the suppressed AR you had feeding issues with?......

11.5” carbine gas, blue springco H2 buffer.

@@itsmillartime6916 Have you tried a Tubbs flat wire standard with H2 or Sprinco red/white with H2? Have you tried that mag giving you problems in another service rifle? Just curious.....USGI mag springs are usually good for 20,000 rounds......And do you have adjustable gas block.....You may have it under gassed.....What's your ejection pattern look like when the firearm is cycling properly with no failures.....? With those Sprinco springs and for all buffer springs a light coat of EWG grease on the spring helps......I found unless running adjustable gas block you will have a more reliable firearm with a standard buffer spring.....just tune it with the buffer weight.....H2 and standard flat wire or CS.....I've changed out all types of AR mag springs with those Sprincos and never ran into that problem.....Just trying to help with tuning.....Hope you don't mind......

    Thanks for making the vid!
Where was the failure, first few rounds? Last few rounds?

Failures were throughout mag but majority mid mag when follower goes through the bend.

And is your gas block adjustable?

If your mag was the problem it would happen on multiple rifles......I'm curious if you figured the problem was buffer weight and spring related......That blue Sprinco is a pretty heavy spring......And if you have the H2 weight and the blue spring you're slowing that thing down to the point of failure to feed.....Not knowing gas system length or barrel length try H2 with their red/white spring or just use a Tubbs flat wire or Wilson flat wire buffer spring with H2 and even try H3.....ISMI makes the flat wire buffer springs for David Tubb and Wilson Combat.....I know everyone likes Sprinco including myself......Running suppressed is a little different.....Adjustable gas block on that set up?

@@itsmillartime6916 What you describe sounds as if it's "short stroking" Riding on top not stripping a round? Sounds like your buffer spring is too heavy or you are under gassed
