This storyline gives me the impression that someone on the script team lost a bet/dare, and the stipulation was that they had to write a Dean/Gina fling into EE. There was hardly any build up, the whole thing done and dusted in 3 episodes and no real reason for Gina to have any doubts whatsoever, if she hadn’t already.
Completely agree, there is no point to having Dean or Nish anymore. They are horrible abusive men but the writers want to revolve the show around them. I don't understand??? It is mind boggling and enraging.

Amy tbf is a kid who believes her mum that Dean attacked her and Cindy is her mum so take her word. plus Dean also keeps showing what creep he is. All of the people on the square that actually knew him when he was growing up and were there when he raped Linda and attempted to rape Roxy should have been enough of an alarm bell to make her at least wonder compared to the 2 people that did get through to her that didn't know him back then. Another is Dean finally accepts what he did and takes the wrap as a way to make up for what he did to Linda and in a way give her justice for doing time for something she did as he got away with what he did to her.
I mean this in the nicest way possible (and it can be easily taken for me being rude, I'm not trying to be) Matt's a bit smaller and has aged (faiely normally but noticably) and it kind of suits the way his character has been for a long time. I was watching avidly when he first came in, and the difference in personality is night and day. Nice touch.
